Is this rubber too damaged to reglue?

Greetings, I will keep this brief. Bought a new rakza xx. Tried to glue it myself, which started off well, unfortunately one of the edges didn't stick properly, I tried to mess with it to fix it and ended up ruining everything. Glue was freshly applied, 2 layers on rubber, 1 layer on the blade, I glued with Revolution 3.0 medium.
I tried to carefully peel off the new glue, to try to reglue it, but unfortunately I think I damaged my sponge too much, Is this too much sponge damage or am I still fine? The Rubber is brand new...

If you are going to compete in the upcoming world championships you will need a new rubber - if not, glue it back on the blade and see if you still win matches.

I would glue it back on. It looks fine with me.

I have that problem with some ESN rubbers: Yasaka series, Xiom Vega series, Donic BlueFire series and Fastarc C-1. When you do not do a good enough glue job and try to take the glue off, there are little holes everywhere. If it looks ok, I just glue the rubber back on.

I don't ever have that issue with DHS Hurricane orange sponge or blue sponge. The glue comes off and the sponge is still intact.

Generally the sponges of chinese rubbers are a lot more dense than the ESN sponges, which are more porous. Sometimes with those you can even do a good glue job and will still be left with the surface of the moon ;-)

That said, I use rubbers like that all the time.

Thanks for all the responses and advice, made me a bit more relieved and less stressed about this.

As for the update: Added 2 really thick layers of glue to fill in the gaps and did a much better job at applying a layer on the blade. Rubber glued on really well, didn't notice any dips, bulges or weird spots. I am okay at the game , but going from Rakza 7 to this rubber felt incredible, such an upgrade, even with all the holes, I didn't feel anything too major that didn't make sense, but I am still getting used to it.

It's a common issue when removing the glue of european rubber. Yes it's not pretty but it would be a waste to throw it. What I do is try to put 2-3 layers to fill the holes with some glue this way the sponge will be even again when gluing it to the blade. Didn't notice any differences when playing.

Doch.. there WILL be a difference in playability.. but ja, yes, stimmt, I agree you could play that rubber again another reglue at his level.

it can still be used but try not to remove the glue layer each time you reglue it
