Please find enclosed some examples of "bastard" sandwiches as being now found on market. There are much more bastard products on market not included in here.

✅ YINHE Big Dipper ITTF 49 -007 sandwich rubber is now produced and marketed under 4 different brand names (1 lawful combination + 3 illegalities)
This is meant to say 3 sandwich products are sold without ITTF authorizaton and due fees either.

✅ YINHE Jupiter ITTF 49 -025 sandwich rubber is now produced under 5 different brand names (1 lawful combination + 4 illegalities)
This is meant to say 4 sandwich products are sold without ITTF authorisation and due fees either.

At any rate, ITTF did suffered badly through unpayed fees. Sorry.

It's not illegal to make or use non-ITTF approved equipment unless you're playing with it in ITTF sanctioned events. Do you have evidence that they were used in ITTF sanctioned events?
To be fair, at most levels in competitive TT, including local leagues etc, the rules generally include a reference to the LARC, so we play with same equipment (and rules) in these settings as in any ITTF event (IN THEORY).

Technically it is illegal to use the ittf logo without approval. As to whether the use is against ittf policy, I'd need to know the reasoning. If it's just becasue it's under different sponges, I'm not sure that counts, and I seriously doubt Igor knows what color of sponges yinhe may have sent in for approval.

It could be he's getting this information from Yinhe, or it could be he's getting it from the ITTF which would be very inapproprite for the ittf to say to Igor. Having different sponges is a new problem and I'm not fully sure where the ittf is on this.

However I remember PALIO used to make a lot of different TOPSHEETS using the same approval, which is and always was "illegal."

I doubt the ittf lost money because I don't think these brands would have ever paid for every variation. The best the ittf could hope for is companies to quit mixing and matching. The end resuld would be less offerings for the public, not more money to the ittf.

he has a short list, that he just reports every other week
At this point I'm convinced he just puts a prompt into chatgpt like: write the most annoying thing about table tennis you can think of that I would say, and he does it every week. Honestly, a sound strategy...
