Some Tieba users are optimistic. IIRC, she was leading in G3 at ATTC 2024.

金琴英在张本美和那里 (Kim Kum Yong is drawn to where Harimoto Miwa is)

After their first encounter, I think Miwa will probably have better preparation against KKY this time. Also Miwa seems to have progressed a lot over the last year,

Three players that have beaten SYS, Miwa, WMY, and KKY all in the second half. What is the chance of that? WMY was set in the second half, but I assume Miwa and KKY do not have any half limitation. SO it is about 25%? the chance for Miwa and KKY to meet in the round of 32 about 3%?

I get what you mean, but the same can be said for SYS. Hirano (QF), Ito (SF), CIC (SF), and WYD (SF).

there is a lot of FZD fans that still believe he will come back
I personally think his retirement sign a year ago was very clear and I actually thought he would retire before Ma Long.

CNT players are not short of money so don't really need leagues in Europe for that matter.
in facts, most European clubs won't be able to afford someone like FZD.
I'm working with a top 15 player and not many players can afford, so I know.

while in China, they got all these corporate tournaments, 10s (to 100s) of thousand rmb per day.... easy money
There's actually an agreement between the FFTT and the CTTA, that's why there are actually many top 100/200 WR chinese players involved in the Pro A, like Xiang Peng, Xu Yingbin, Sun Wen and so on.

This has led to a major controversy this season: as the CSL has been scheduled in mid season, December for instance because of the Paris Olympics, the CTTA stated that the chinese athletes could play the phase 1 in France, but not the phase 2. The french leagues are organized in 2 phases: from September to December, then from January to June.

The FFTT stated also that NO athletes could be involved in 2 different leagues at the same time, means here foreign leagues, if those leagues are organised by ITTF affiliated associations. That's why at Jura Morez's french Pro A club Aruna can play the MLTT (not organized by the USATT) and the french Pro A at the same time, but Sun Wen could not play the Pro A after being hired to play the CSL, organised by the CTTA. Jura Morez decided to put Sun Wen on the team after January and has been sanctioned, leading to an awful drama when Jura Morez's President decided to withdraw from the Pro A: he could not bear to pay Sun Wen for only one phase and not being able to put him on the team for the playoffs next June. At that time Jura Morez was the leader of the Pro A

Now guess what ? this agreement will let the Lebrun Bros. being hired for the next CSL in.... July (no Pro A championship), and the FFTT has decided to remove that "2 leagues" rule that led to too much drama. Means there will be much more foreign players in the Pro A, much more french players making money elsewhere, and more chinese players allowed to play both phases of the french Pro A because of the CTTA/FFTT agreement.

Yeah sorry my bad it's actually Pitch I was thinking about, who's playing in Pontoise Cergy. And to add to the drama, it's actually the Pontoise Cergy President that asked the FFTT to sanction Jura Morez for putting Sun Wen on the team when Jura Morez played against Pontoise Cergy. Stupid move according to the Jura Morez pres. cos' Cergy ... won that match. That's why he thought it was better to take it "personal" because of a so-called "cabale" meant to harass his club.

I've misled Aruna and Pitch because of that drama between both clubs. Sometimes brains do weird things

I heard of the Sun Wen drama
I am glad Pro A has removed the restrictions (2nd league allowed outside of Europe).

Aruna example must be changed with Pitchford, but he still played concurrently during 2024-2025 season
and since MLTT Is unaffiliated, it is no problem

btw, many Chinese didn't play during phase 1 2024-2025

will Alexis play ? what would happen if he retires from the tournament ? does his opponent get a BYE or there will be a last minute lucky man who will be taking his place ?
I think he has been cleared and is going to play but you might have heard something else.

Paywalled article but from the snippet it sounds like he will be there.

"À la moindre douleur, tu t’arrêtes" : semaine de vérité pour Alexis Lebrun, autorisé à partir en stage à 15 jours du Mondial de tennis de table ("At the slightest pain, you stop": a week of truth for Alexis Lebrun, authorized to leave for training two weeks before the World Table Tennis Championships.)

Having injured his hand over a month ago and undergoing surgery for a fractured fifth metacarpal in Montpellier, the world number 9 has received the green light from his surgeon to leave for training in Nantes with the team...
Alexis Lebrun, shown here with his Montpellier coach Vincent Avril, still wears a tiny splint but has won his first gamble by getting the green light for training with Les Bleus.

May 25 is the day that ITTF is planning to decide on a new definition of "sandwich rubbers" with the onward perspective to prevent manufacturers from wild breeding bastard products so much as well as to get China brand owners paying due fees to the full. Refer to M4 revised edition.
Heh, we did contributed a lot to the M4 document to come soon later. All is over, but cheers 👋👋👋 Hip, hip, hurrah.
