Hello! I've been wondering recently as to which of these two are better.
What are your opinions on it, and why?

I personally think Jpen is fit for me, as my strategy leans more onto one technique, and maxing out its potential. Jpen is better than Cpen in this regard, as Cpen distributes the power between Forehand and Backhand, while Jpen puts all its skill points in a nuclear Forehand.

I have tried both. I really enjoy hitting forehands with my jpen blade but not being able to hit RPB (unless you are using one of those hybrid blades with jpen handle and cpen blade) is a big disadvantage.

At lower levels it might not matter as hitting punch Blocks with the TPB might be enough but at higher levels it certainly is a disadvantage.

I'm not playing at a good level so I wouldn't really need rbp but I enjoy hitting it more than TBP so I rarely play with my jpen blade.

Jpen: you limit your Backhand strokes
Short Pips: you limit the spin you can put on the Ball ->less arc -> less potential if you get pushed away from the table
Isn't short pips for flat hitters? I thought those were stronger for attack bombers, like my style.

Like what I mean is my style is to completely bombard the enemy with attacks before they can recover properly

Jeah I get that, but as a beginner it's just hard if you limit yourself so hard. You can still flat hit with inverted rubber, but you can spin the ball much better. Or push with more quality.
It just seems to me that your a beginner, that limits himself to play a very specific and narrow way, without knowing that this playstyle really complements your capabilities.

Inverted or SP?
Let me rephrase that for you, since I don't get your followup question:

You can play every shot with inverted rubbers.
You can't play every shot as easily with short pips
-> you limit your shot selection

You are a beginner
-> you don't know what's best for you yet, you haven't developed a playstyle

If you start with inverted and maybe in a year you notice: I never spin the ball I just want to flat hit, then you could consider SPs. But maybe you play mich better with inverted because it turns out your main weapon is a super spinny topspin.

yeah idk if I should even be a penholder XD

says former JPEN, now CPEN
its near impossible to play full court with forehand

it was miserable playing players that are decent on both forehand and backhand

it felt like the points that i score when i was using JPEN was mostly due to the opponents making mistakes themselves rather than me outplaying them

i have to play an extreme game of third ball attack and the problem was that the higher the player's level the harder it is to third ball attack because your serves are less effective against them

CPEN has its own set of problems but not as severe as JPEN's, at least my opponent fears my backhand now and i have a lot of options to open up the game

old day, 38mm ball, speed glue, hidden serve (3rd ball king), 21 point - 5 serves, was very good for a 1 sided Jpen
game has evolved to a complete new sport, modern day play requires a solid backhand.
