Hi,

I have the Korbel (Japan blade), like its control and decent speed and softness of touch. Wondering how the Nittaku acoustic inner carbon compares. Is it faster and as controlled, spin?. Looking for it to compliment the Korbel blade.

In the last week I tested a few carbon blades they feel a bit hard and lack that soft feeling and seem to have less control.

Also the new G revision version, hope its not to big I have medium size hands. Thanks

I have a Korbel JP st handle & an Acoustic G-Revision st handle, and the Acoustics handle is just slightly bigger than the Korbel while more comfortable and less head heavy.

As far as carbon blades go I'm not at the level to utilize them properly and I'm not sure I'll ever "need" a carbon blade since I'm just a hobby player. Unless I find myself playing more tourney's against higher skilled players. Even then my Acoustic is 92g and fast enough for me. Maybe someone who has played with or owned both can chime in, but I see a lot of reports that the carbon robs the feeling of the Acoustic and kind of negates the purpose of the string series. So if you want a soft feeling affordable carbon blade I would probably look at something like a Joola Rossi Emotion or Yasaka Ma Lin Soft Carbon.

actually i played for 10y+ with Korbel (Japan) and then i "upgraded" with Acoustic Inner with which i played also many years with.
Acoustic at the time seemed to me like magic, faster AND more control ! how is it possible ? it felt like wearing a glove. all shots seemed easier and more precise.

[FYI i had T80 on FH at the time. I had to change BH from SpinArt to D80 as SpinArt production was stopped.
both in 1.9mm ]

Now i play with an Outer Carbon racket but at the time i wasn't able to handle such fast rackets. I tried many and just couldn't play with it. I would probably feel the Acoustic is too slow for me now.

Is the acoustic you have all wood or is it an inner carbon blade? If inner carbon what have you found different to your Korbel. Thanks

Thanks, have you used the DHS 301 if so how does that compare with the acoustic inner? I did try the Viscaria and found it a bit to hard and fast.

Nittaku Acoustic Inner Carbon blade
my Korbel was quite old when i changed it, can't recall exactly but more than 5 years, maybe 6-7 ?
the feeling, feedback were similar but i felt i could put the ball on the table more precisely, exactly where i wanted. and get more control AND speed. a probably very subjective comment. At the time i had tried a few outer carbon blades (from coaches / friends) and my blocks or topspins would go over (== too fast for me). but it wasn't the case with that blade. short game also felt easier.

im not an EJ. thats my personal experience. Ive not tried DHS301. I had a Tibhar setup for 1 years between my current setup and the Nittaku thats it. so I can't tell you anymore
