Long 5 vs Long 5x blade

I noticed on Megaspin that there is a $30 price gap between the Ma Long 5 ($195) and Ma Long 5x ($165)

I want to put Dignics 09c on FH and Tenergy 19 on BH. Which is the better blade for this rubber combination?

Should I just save the $30 and get the 5x? Is the difference between the 2 blades noticeable? Any chance the Long 5x is better AND cheaper than the Long 5? Doesn’t the 5x offer more speed and spin? Which is better fit for 09c/19?

IMO and experience, definitely Long 5 is better. 5x is too stiff and thick core, it doesn't catch the ball well.

If you are using a high dwell Chinese rubber like H3 Blue sponge, then it is still OK. But almost any other rubber is better with Long 5.

Many blades I have tried with the same Long 5x construction share the same problem.

Innterforce is more geared towards topspin-topspin rallies, quick reactions, blocks, drives.

Long 5 is longer and larger, it is better for deep loops, looping pushes and chops, heavy counters, etc.

I would go with the long 5 imo.
