Hi everyone. I am looking for rubbers that are as tacky as DHS G888 but with more spin and speed.

I have been using G888 for about 8 months. It is tacky as hell! Just out of the box it could lift the ball and hold it for a few seconds, and now it could hold it for very long maybe even a few minutes [I know I have done an excellent job of maintaining the tack :)]. G888 can produce high amounts of spin and it is not that slow either, but I was wondering if I could find improvements on that. However, I would not like to lose the tack as I enjoy doing flicks with closed bat angles.

Ideally, I would like suggestions for both FH and BH. I liked the idea of using Skyline 3 Provincial Blue Spone and/or Hurricane 3 Provincial, but recently, I read that the new versions are less tacky so I started having doubts.

So any suggestions? Or should I just stick to G888 and maybe go for a faster blade?

Thank you.

If you switch blade, it will change the way you feel.

G888's tackiness is what H3 used to be, except H3 was faster. But nowadays, H3 commercial version is barely tacky. H3 provincial blue sponge still has somewhat tacky surface so it is good enough.

Just go for the blue sponge H3 provincial version. No need to go find another rubber that fits your description because, well, that rubber does not exists anymore. Thanks DHS! (note the sarcasm)...

You mean like this?

That seems really tacky. How about the non-Neo version? Is it as tacky? I read this review a while ago and the rubber seemed very interesting.

By the way, this is the state of my current G888 after about 8 months of playing with it. I literally have to force the ball to drop.

That is definitely one of the options I am considering. Thanks.

I didn't play with the G888, but the Rxton9 is the best "alternative" for H3 BS prov. so far for me... It is more tacky than the newer H3s, I actually wouldn't mind being less tacky. The top-sheet is nice and elastic, the sponge similar, very good spin. The speed - it is what we call linear, and while many here people do distinguish the H3 "alternatives" like B2, DVFP, Blooms, etc from each other based on speed - I don't much, because the distance from usual rubbers is too much - I mean trying to find which one is faster seems futile - if you want differently faster, just buy something else... But to answer, I think the speed and the speed curve is similar to H3. The rubber is perhaps tiny bit heavier than H3 which is very light, but it is not really heavy... There are 2 variants, H39 and H40,5. Cheers.

NOVELTY PRODUCT BY SANWEI.

SANWEI Target should be rightfully rated as super tacky rubber. Not having a least glossiness on the topsheet is a reliable proof that SANWEI succeeded well with innovative rubber formula.

Definitely not what my SNT was like. It was less tacky than my H3 provincial…

Welp, I got my G888 and it's nowhere near as tacky as that. It barely picks up the ball at all. In 5 tries it picked it up about 3 inches then dropped. It's not tacky at all. Looks like the new DHS formulation has spread to the G888 line too. So disappointing 😢
