I think it does sound like I’m being mature…because my post is pointing out how James Z is misrepresenting my position. And if I’m being misrepresented, then surely it is reasonable of me to want to point that out….and pointing that out is the achievement and purpose of the post.

There’s a persistent pattern throughout all my exchanges with James Z…which is that I make a statement and then James Z creates a straw-man of it and then attacks that straw-man. It’s unfortunate that my position hasn’t been engaged with honestly, but such is life!

I don’t like being misrepresented, so in that sense I’m not having fun…but at the same time I do enjoy out-manoeuvring James Z to the point where he needs to misrepresent my position in order to have anything to say. I guess sometimes you’ve got to wrestle the pig and get a bit dirty just to verify that you are in fact dealing with a pig!

You are right that he is misrepresenting you. This post, to me, sounds a lot better than many of your posts. But is there a reason to bother with the banter when you know he is actually just messing with you and does not really care what you have posted?

Like, you are talking about outmaneuvering him. To me, it looks like he is entertaining himself and having fun and you are getting a little bent out of shape. So....I might question who is actually outmaneuvering who.

But, at least, in this post, you are addressing the actual issue that he is misrepresenting you without going through point by point when everyone can see that he has done it over and over.

It’s fair to say that I didn’t realise I was dealing with a “pig” from the outset. As a result, I’ve spent too much time in my exchanges dealing with James Z as if he were an honest and genuine participant in a discussion; giving him loads of opportunities to actually engage with my points (hence the repetition of my position). If I could wind back the clock, knowing what I now know, I would have approached the conversation totally differently…drawing more on my skills developed as a parent of two children under the age of 4. 🤣

I told you weeks ago who he basically is. He has been on the internet since 1998 and before. He has been banned from every forum there is.

He has actually been well behaved and civil this time around despite using dozens of profiles before settling as JZ for a while. As long as he does not make some of the personal attacks he has made in the past, I would rather have him on the forum than not because he does, somewhere under the stuff that is to try and get people riled up, have an actual point. And I do think it is worth it if people understood that point.

But, if it was not clear to you that over and over, his main object with you and with most people is to get a response, and ideally an angry and not so rational response, then I wonder what you have been thinking when you were reading his posts. I mean, that is part of what I was talking about. Over and over he pulls your strings, and over and over, you respond exactly how he is hoping you will. To me, what I see in your exchanges is you falling into the exact patterns he is hoping for from you.

This is one of several posts I made to you in Early November (almost two months ago) about him. I am sure if I look back there are dozens more.

He has been banned from every forum sooooo many times that.....I think that had something to do with it. But, if he doesn't make personal attacks, I am okay with him posting.

Are you really telling me, you did not know he was pulling your chain when you have been told he was since at least early November and I have a feeling I was trying to give you information about him before that too.
