Need help for my second bat

Hello everyone,

I currently have been playing with a Butterfly Falcima blade with Rozena on the backhand and Dignics 09c on the forehand for around a year or so. I want to get a new bat because my old one isn’t powerful enough, and I have around 5 years of experience. I want a carbon blade, with two high-quality rubbers. This is my playing style:

- I play very spinny on my backhand, don’t like to loop much, and I attack if the ball is not backspin.
- I loop on forehand if the ball isn’t too spinny, but if it is, I just push the ball back.
- I like lobbing sometimes.

These are some choices: Timo Boll ALC or Fire Fall AC for the blade, T05 or Vega Europe for backhand, DHS Provincial Neo Hurricane 3 or DHS National Hurricane 3 blue sponge (the store I am buying from doesn’t have the neo version of this rubber).

Please give me some advice on what blades and rubbers to choose, thanks.

Just get FZD alc just that, and keep the rubbers.

I can't really say if you can handle a faster carbon blade with a faster, bouncier backhand rubber than you are used to, but as said before it's good not to change too much at the same time.

Like lodro says. There are lots of really good Chinese carbon blades for much less money than the Butterfly ones, if you're eager to try one.

Going from Dignics 09C to Hurricane 3 is quite a big step as well. There are some rubbers that are more in between these two like Yinhe - Big Dipper, LOKI - Rxton IX, 729 - Battle III and more that could fit you better in the transition to Chinese rubbers. If it's your first time playing with hard, tacky Chinese rubbers, don't go for the Provincial or National at once. Try the commercial NEO if you choose to go with Hurricane 3, as the price difference is much greater than the playing difference. Think about the sponge hardness in the first place. For H3, 39deg could be great for a start.

I played with Chinese rubbers before my dignics bat, and I feel like dignics 09c has some similarity to H3. I think H3 is a bit more affordable, so I just want to use it for my new bat.

Cheers

What do you guys think about my choices, like which one is better? I did the research and I think these runners/blades are pretty suitable for me. Also, my friend has a. FZD alc so I want a different bat to him.

Cheers

If you have done your research you surely already know better than we do. 😂😂😂

Take into consideration though that the H3s you played with will not be the same as the ones that are sold today.

Hi there
You say you don't attack backspin on BH side and won't loop spinny balls on FH.
Can I ask why?
What do you mean when you say you play spinny on the BH but don't loop? Do you mean you prefer to push on BH side?
With 5 yrs experience you really shouldn't be pushing anything long on the FH side, especially with a Dignics09c on a Falcima blade.
Same on BH, you should be able to attack backspin balls without problem by now. You say later you don't want Fan ZD cos your friend has one....
And the like of lobbing made me laugh, it sounds very hobby player, no offence intended 😊
Honestly from what you've written I can't imagine your racket is the problem and I don't see how Boll ALC over Falcima will help and choosing an expensive blade based on what someone else already has or hasn't, with that rationale it's almost impossible for anyone to really help you IMO.
If lack of power is the problem them I'd guess technique is the issue.

I just don’t like attacking backspin even though I can, and I just feel like my current bat isn’t powerful enough.

Just because you get harder rubbers doesnt mean it'l become more powerful.
It only works if you're strong enough to hit through the sponge.
With your playstyle, any all-around setup would work for you.

Ok.
But you haven't answered my questions or clarified further anything about your game that would justify advanced players recommending you spend lots of money on high end equipment.
I can't see why you expect anyone to take the time and effort to analyse or detail the items you've listed when it's almost certain you are a hobby player. 🤷
Analysis and game advice is usually to help people develop their game.
You should probably just buy whatever you want, you've done the research. Meanwhile there are scores of reviews to read on the equipment you've listed...

I'd actually recommend, Yinhe N10s and Mercury 2 both sides.
