Need some review of the new Friendship 729 Battle 2 Neo

Hello TTD friend, I have found a new rubber from 729, this variant is 729 Battle 2 neo. The seller tells me this rubber is better than the 729 Battle 2 pro blue sponge. So I need some opinions from you, is it actually better than 729 Battle 2 Pro?

Here's the link of the rubber from Aliexpress : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...3ad493d49e2af17f1cc19800cd0&afSmartRedirect=y

Bump again! Anyone tried it yet?

I just tried it now in combination with one layer of the seamon booster. Before I used the normal provincial version. Im still an intermediate beginner, so take my experience with a grain of salt.

I just played it for two sessions. It's definitely playable with good control. But it's not as tacky as the provincial version with less dwell time on the blade.

But since the tackiness of the normal provincial version deteriorated pretty fast, I hope that this Neo version has a higher longevity.

I'm also somewhere between intermediate and beginner. Right now I got the idea to transfer from euro rubbers to chinese tacky rubbers. Do you think it's better to try Battle 2 Prov first and then the Neo, or is it the other way around? And then there's Battle 2 Gold, National, Max Pro, Battle 3, Double Fish Polestar P, Yinhe Big Dipper Pro... Plus of course the holy grail of DHS H3 Neo BS and on and on... haha EJ is one hell of a disease! :)

Yeah, I tried several rubbers and blades before and sticked with B2 Blue sponge because it's so controable.

I've been quite satisfied with B2 blue sponge and would rather recommed that one over the neo. It's spinny with long dwell time and good arc. Especially good to attack backspin balls. It helped me with my technique because I need to create power by myself. Otherwise the ball goes into the net.

But what I encountered is that after like 3 month, it starts deteriorating and the arc becomes lower, also the dwell time decreases. I'm not sure if it is because of the rubber itself or the boosting wearing off. It's still playable but the feeling is not as good as before. But it is still better controlable than my baracuda or andro rubbers that I've used before. That's why I stayed with B2 prov blue sponge for quite a time.

Do you think I should boost Battle 2 BS twice before I use it, or could one layer be enough the first time?

I'm not sure. I only boost it once with one layer of seamoon booster but also because I've been told it helps to increase the arc permanently. If itnreally does, dunno haha
I try not to rely to much on booster because it's not so well regarded where I play

I think I will do copy your recipe, Battle 2 BS with one layer of boost. Thanks for the info and good advice!

1 layer is enough. B2 is pretty fast out of the package and has a nice dwell time. B2 BS is a good option. It is fast, spinny, grippy, and is very easy to play with. It is super linear. I stopped using it because at the end of the day I get tired and can't get even 60% of this rubber. I suggest trying 39. 38 is slower. 40 is harder to control. I also recommend Sanwei Target National BS. It's easier to play with and has some nice catapult still being a very linear rubber. And can be used without booster

I'm curious, what rubber did you start to use after b2 blue sponge?
