Nittaku Accoustic Inner Carbon G-Revision FL Comparison

I recently made the switch to Nittaku Accoustic Inner Carbon G-Revision using G-1 max for FH and Rakza Z for BH. I played with it today for few hours. I have been using Stiga Clipper with Rakza Z on both sides which was heavy. With the Nittaku now, I was able to shed some weight but still feels heavy.

Compared with the Clipper setup, I noticed the following:

1. Nittaku blade with G-1 for FH - Feels like I have a lower arc when I topspin, I'm now scared how it will be if I play away from the table. Could not test it today
2. Nittaku blade with G-1 for FH - I need to put additional effort for FH topsptin as the G-1 is not tacky compared to Rakza Z EH that I had on my Clipper
3. Nittaku blade with G-1 for FH - Chop and playing close to the table feels more controlled
4. Nittaku blade with G-1 for FH - Spin is fantastic, sensitivity to spin is mediocre. Need to control spinny serves

Does anyone who plays this same setup, could you share your experience? I tried the Butterflyy Innerfoce ALC which felt much more comfortable and lighter.

Did you ask for a specific weight of the blade? If it’s over 90g it’s going to be heavy. G1 already itself is a heavy rubber imo.

Maybe try a lighter higher throw rubber. You changed 2 things at the same time instead of just one variable. So now you have to adjust.

I find G1 on the all wood Acoustic G Revision a high throwing myself.

Why didn't you get the Butterfly Innerforce then if it was more comfortable and lighter?

Okay. I just got the Nittaku acoustic inner g revision too in the last week. I like it. I use Rozena on the forehand and sriver on the backhand. Maybe your rubbers may not suit your style as much with that blade. I do noticed blades and rubbers take a bit of time to break in, happened with my Butterfly Korbel blade.

How to make sense of the numbers on the TTgearlabs? Ep, Ec don't tell me much!
They explain it in depth in most of their reviews, but in simple terms you can look at it as EP = how fast a blade is & EC = how much dwell or kick a blade has (when hit hard)

RZ is a heavy rubber, I use it myself. If weight saving is what you want I would change this, especially if you're using Max sponge.

1. Nittaku blade with G-1 for FH - Feels like I have a lower arc when I topspin, I'm now scared how it will be if I play away from the table. Could not test it today
This is normal, the Fastarc G1 definitely has a lower throw then RZ. But playing away from the table with G1 is not usually a problem and I think you'll probably get used to it.
2. Nittaku blade with G-1 for FH - I need to put additional effort for FH topsptin as the G-1 is not tacky compared to Rakza Z EH that I had on my Clipper
Do you mean for spin or for speed?
In your point 4 you say spin is fantastic so I'm a bit confused.
I found G1 a bit faster and equally as grippy/spinny as RZ.
I believe you need to hit fwd a bit more with G1 to get the best from it and hopefully solve any issue because the rubber itself should have everything you need V a RZ.
4. Nittaku blade with G-1 for FH - Spin is fantastic, sensitivity to spin is mediocre. Need to control spinny serves
As you haven't tried it extensively yet I wouldn't worry. It's quality equipment.
With a months worth of dedicated training and really paying attention Im expecting you to come back and say that you love it!

For a BH rubber if you do drop the RZ there's a guy at my club using Nittaku Hammond Z2. I think this is a pretty phenomenal rubber tbh and might be worth a look.

Speed is what I was referring to. I need to put extrra effort.

I will consider this.

I used mine in training today, mine is 94g and 183/4g with the rubbers similar to my Korbel. It seemed plenty fast with the Rozena (FH) (at times to fast) and fair bit slower with the Sriver (BH), I think it depends on rubbers a bit. Interesting the TT review one was 82 g and 5.4mm thick, my G revision is 5.7mm and 94g. So I wonder whether they made the new model a touch thicker and a bit faster. It certainly faster than my korbel rated at 1.54/1.27 probably 10% faster until the carbon kicks in.
