New Nittaku Hurricanes coming out in April: Hurricane 8-80 and 8-80 Power. Also new versions of Flyatt and Genextion it seems. Could anyone try them already?

Interesting! One is 37.5 and the other is 35 degree. Meaning a softer 8-80 which came only in 37/38 degrees.

The 37 and 38 DHS 8-80 sponges feel more different than the numbers might suggest.
The 37 sponge combined with the tacky topsheet makes the rubber somewhat unpredictable. At least on FH.

Right. I use 37 on bh and 38 for fh. Was really hoping a 39 or 40 would be released eventually.

It's interesting that they'd only make softer sponges. I like the 35 being an option but unless the sponge itself has changed I don't see the 37.5 being used since it's so close to the originals already.

If they have the same quality as e.g. the Nittaku H3N (NR-8701/provincial H3N but cheaper) than at least the harder version could be an option. Prott.vip sells the provincial H8-80 for 43 USD without taxes, Nittaku wants 6000 Yen/40.12 without taxes.
What I don't get is the purpose of the 35° version. I had H8-80 that were that soft (or softer) i.e. way too soft to be playable. Maybe this version has a different sponge.

It looks just like the 38 and 37 versions rebranded for the Japanese market... on the site, they even have pictures with the usual DHS sponge markings: 21038 (2.10 mm thickness, 38 degrees hardness) for the Nittaku 8-80, 21037 (2.10 mm and 37 degrees) for the 8-80 Power.
In Japan, Chinese rubbers have never caught on really. To my understanding, Nittaku simply has an agreement with DHS to import, authorize with JTTA and sell specific versions of their products.

It seems like the 35 (45esn) version is factory boosted, from the images on the website the rubber is quite domed.
Like Nablaz said the pro turbo had a japanese made sponge, so maybe even this could be hurricane 8 top sheet with japanese sponge
Hopefully it is not super heavy like H3 pro turbo

It might be boosted, or the image may just be "arranged" like that... and the sponges look just like the normal DHS #80 ones.
Again, they have this picture on the supposedly 35 degrees version, which clearly shows that the original manufacturer (DHS) marked the sponge as 37 degrees.
I truly doubt these two rubbers are anything but the normal 38 and 37 versions of H8-80, just rebranded for the Japanese market...

now that those rubbers are out, has anybody seen any reviews of the nittaku 8-80 yet? www.tt-japan.net has it available for €10 below the official price. but the question is if it is really something new or indeed just a rebranding of the regular 8-80 for japanese market. the topsheet of the 8-80 power looks exactly like the regular dhs 8-80.

On the website it says 42.5 hardness which i assume is japanese. So 52.5 ESN like Genextion e.g.

Anyone know if that's true?

Nah check out Genextion. Japanese+10=ESN

So 42.5 Jap = 52.5 ESN = 40 DHS/China (approx.)
