I tried to find some info and comparisons but there isn't much information about it online.

The price isn't too bad, how does it feel and play compared to other rubbers like the normal hurricane 3 neo (commercial) and maybe some popular euro/jap rubbers?

I used to play 41° h3, so hardness and weight aren't an issue. I just care about playing characteristics, speed, tackiness, responsiveness, curve, throw, etc...

Thank you!

Very hard, very very heavy.
Doesn't play as "dead" as you would think, it's playable out of the package.

High in spin.
Haven't played with it in a while, but it's a good rubber overall, but it's really heavy.

The speed is asscessable, unlike an unboosted H3 40/41.

Cut to the blade: ~58g,
Uncut: ~85g
Makes the racket head heavy.

I'd prefer Loki Arthur China over the Turbo Blue - both LAC and the Turbo Blue played without booster.

I can't really afford to boost, I play matches in the category nowadays and need something consistent. Also planning to ditch the intensity for a rosewood 5, so weight will go up a bit. Is it like a hybrid? If not what is there that doesn't need boost and has some outright speed?

You'd be more comfortable using Turbo Orange. Turbo Blue is incredibly hard and difficult to play with, even more demanding than regular 41 H3 imo. Its the heaviest rubber I've ever seen

I've only used them on friends rackets but the Turbo Orange is at least lighter than 55g cut to standard shakehand headsize. Turbo Blue immediately raises the weight in comparison
Got it, how does it play though? Is it like the modern hybrids, or is it something completely different?

Nittaku Turbo Hurricanes aren't hybrids, they are essentially just Hurricane 3 topsheets with really hard Japanese style sponges as opposed to the solid Chinese style sponges. So there is a bit more speed vs unboosted Hurricane but there is not quite as much support for hard hits

All I know is that they don't react well to booster and after a few days they die. Japanese sponges have a boost effect from the factory, if you try it let me know how it plays.
I will soon. I had it for a while now and I like to use it before it gets too old. I think I will boost it lightly or not… A project for Christmas break…

Cheers and thanks
