Ryu Seungmin’s team Ochsenhausen managed to overcome strong team Borussia Dusseldorf in the fifteenth round of the Bundesliga to take their top spot. Although Borussia were missing their star player Timo Boll, it was still a tricky match for Ochsenhausen who worked well together as a team to secure the final victory. In the first leg match Ochsenhausen were without Ryu Seungmin and fell 2-3, however it was to be different this time with Ryu Seungmin taking part and Timo Boll not. In the first match it was Ryu Seungmin to face Ricardo Walther, although Walther managed to put up a great fight against the former Olympic Champion narrowly losing the first game 11-13 Seungmin managed to take control of the match closing the next two games 11-5 and 11-7.

Next up was Patrick Baum to face Kirill Skachkov, things weren’t looking good for Borussia to begin with, with Skachkov taking the first game 11-8 however Baum proved strong and with Skachkov struggling to recover his backhand Baum secured the win 11-6 in the fourth game.

The third match was to see England’s recent national champion Liam Pitchford face Christian Suss, the young Englishman played superbly as he managed to surprise and secure a 3-0 win (11-5, 11-9, 11-5) giving the second point for Ochsenhausen. Next into the court was Ryu Seungmin to face Patrick Baum, Baum put on yet another great performance as the match reached the fifth game before he managed to clinch the final set 11-9.
The deciding game was to be between Ricardo Walther and Kirill Skachkov, with the Russian not giving away any chances to Walther he managed to secure the victory for Ochsenhausen with 11-9, 11-7 and 11-8.
