Hey,
I am thinking about upgrading my blade. Right now I play an adidas avenger 5 which is OFF-. It is quite light and helps me to be quick close to the table but I think it is time to get something better. (I bought that blade when I started getting back into training, but I think it stops me from getting the most out of my play.)

A little bit about my playstyle: I am an offensive focused allround player, I like making my opponent run when he goes away from the table, as well as spinny topspins with a powerful backhand when he puts the ball too high (so I guess I have that in common with Dima :D)

Right now my favourite to get is the Ovtcharov true carbon, which seems to get a lot of positive reviews, however I am not sure if it is too fast for me/ my FH. The reason I chose that title is because I used to play a Timo Boll Spirit FL which sadly broke when I was younger which I felt very comfortable with. So my question is wether those too are comparable in terms of control, speed and spin.

Thank you for all answers :3

That sounds very good thank you

It will depend a lot of weight. I have one that is 92 grams that is about the same speed or even slightly faster than a Viscaria, the other one at around 87 grams is slightly slower. At the end of the day, the play is very similar to Butterfly ALC blades, and the advantage for some people will be the shape of the handle on the True Carbon, which is a little different from Btfly handles, especially in ST version.
