Hi Community,

I want to ask about the current models of Viscaria / FZD ALC. I tried several pieces of viscaria over the last months (club mates rackets), e.g. 82g, 87g.These Viscaria's feel a bit dull and metallic in terms of feedback.

I have read a few times that heavier pieces of Viscaria / Fan Zhendong ALC perform better and give better feedback. Is anyone using heavy models (93-95g) and can make some comparisons ?

BTY JP website states that the current average weight of FZD ALC is 90g, so I assume it should be possible to get heavier pieces as well.

Thank you for your help, cheers

heavier pieces always tend to feel better to most players no matter what blade. but it is always a compromise of how agile you wanna be and how much hardness, speed and bounce you can control. heavier blades of the same model are harder, stiffer faster and this does not result in better play even though the feeling transferred to your hand might be better. i know a lot of people that play lighter pieces (mostly outercarbon user) exactly because they are easier to control.
a 92g viscaria will be so much harder and faster compared to a 82g one that sometimes they'll not feel like the same model of blade anymore

My current blade is a 93 gram Viscaria, and I've played many in the range 85-95 grams. Much prefer the heavier ones, didn't like the ones at the low end of that range. I find the heavier ones to have cleaner, more precise feedback, and at least the feel of being more stable.
