The line up for this years Qatar Open is super huge! Players are all preparing and looking to find form for the World Championships this year! China have sent the worlds strongest 4 of Ma Long, Fan Zhendong, Xu Xin and Zhang Jike! Can Dimitrij Ovtcharov or Jun Mizutani take a dent in the China squad? Wong Chun Ting and Samsonov will be looking to find form. Number 9 and 10 seeds Jeoung Youngsik and Chung Chih Yuan will be a tough task for the top 4. Fang Bo comes in at number 11, he is a very dangerous seed and can beat anyone on his day. Marcos Freitas the number 12 seed has found some very good form recently defeating Jun Mizutani at the Swiss Open 2 weeks ago and will be looking to carry that momentum to the Qatar Open. Liang Jingkun and Harimoto are both unseeded and will be looking to go very far in the event!

A fantastic event to follow, be sure to get involved on the TTD discussions and join us in the live chat in the ITTF Live Streaming!

There are many intersting facts about it:
1. Liang Jingkun has to fight from the bginning in qualification groups
2. Zhang Jike is not in ittf ranking because of long break, but still he is in main draw...
3. Xu Xin was much criticised by LGL and will definitely try to show he san still be competitive, I doubt - but we will see
4. Mizutani is not in good form since olympics, last swiss open was a good proof he missed a lot of simple shots and started going back very early
5. Harimoto - can we see another upsets by him?

This looks very promising!
Second round already!
Ma Long vs. Li Ping,
Freitas vs. Mizutani!
Wong vs. Chuang
Niwa vs. Zhang
Xu Xin vs. Fang Bo
Matsudaira vs. Samsonov
..
Then third round Ovtcharov vs. Fan Zhendong, this will be one hell of a tournament!

And Liang Jingkun already in group with Ho Kwan Kit and Joao Geraldo, weheheeey!
Cant wait! ;-)

I'm rooting for Ma Long, but maybe FZD is more prepared for this tournament because he has been playing china trials...
