Have you ever experimented with using kirinite knife scales for blade handles? From what I've read kirinite is relatively easy to work with, polishes up nicely, comes in some really funky patterns, and doesn't get slippery when wet. I think it would look very cool as a handle on a TT blade.
I'm tempted to give it a go, but if someone can advise otherwise I'd love to hear from you.
