Hey all.
Just got a Dignics 05 rubber in that I decided to use the yellow seamoon booster on. It seems to respond really well with 3 layers. Super bend.
Now, im not experienced with boosting as I only did it 1 time before. That time I glued it on while it was still arching wildly(a chinese rubber), and it kind of starting to lift itself up at the edges as the glue wasnt strong enough.
So I was advised back then to let the rubber flatten itself out before glueing it on the blade.

Question: How long will that take for it to flatten itself? Its been 24 hours since last layer and I see no change in the curvature.
Wondering how long this normally takes?

Also anyone with experience of boosting Dignics 05 and 09c? what to expect with the difference?

UPDATE:
Ok so I boosted the dignics 05 from new. no bubbles. no issues.
Its been a few weeks I think now and all I can say is this: its playing really fast, spinny etc. Its a dream rubber boosted. I never tried it unboosted so I cant compare. but its MUCH faster than a unboosted Dignics 09c.
Also I find it easy to control. Its top level. However people say boosting it wont last long. only few weeks. so far its same as day 1. Oh I also put baby oil on it. I feel great contact to the ball. rubber is soft. TONS of spin. when serving its deadly. but most important, my forehand which is not very powerful due to injury, is now powerful and I can follow the stronger players.

I also boosted a 4 month old Dignics 09c and put baby oil. 2 used rubbers. 1 of them started bubbling up. its useless now. the other showed hints of it but very little. I glued it back on the blade and I am now using it with my boosted 05 as well. its much faster now as well. I love it.

This setup is the best setup I ever played with. Other who try it say the same. I think many people wouldnt agree as its most likely too hard to control for most. you got to have a sensitive hand. good technique. but damn...... this is next level.

due to all the warnings of this setup will go flat in a few weeks etc. I ordered 09c and 05 already to replace it back to unboosted version, but I hope and pray they are wrong and this will last. Its next level.

Oh and 1 more thing: the 05 seems to be more spin sensitive than 09c while in play. makes it even harder for some to use. Not sure this has anything to do with boosting or not.

Don't. i used to do it. It plays great for a session and dead. When you boost a dignics, it loses the "click:" after the first session.
Same for 09c but 09c will last longer but loses the "click" after couple session. The pros do it cuz they can change rubber whenever they want. but for us hobby player i prefer consistency over temporary performance.
too late.... :)
also many people seems to report improved play for long periods. your the first I hear say this.

I think 2 or 3 days it should flatten.

I boosted D09c and D05 before, I think the effect is mild. Its possible to have a negative effect as well. Sometimes boosting changes the throw angle and seems to effect the grab on the ball.

Ehhhh it plays alright even if it's "dead" so here's comparison in terms of performance in descending order:

1. boosted d09c/d05
2. unboosted d09c/d05
3. boosted d09c/05 after a while (after a week or two?)

Yes the boosting give better temporary performance but the unboost version will last longer and performance stay very consistent throughout the lifespan of the rubber.
ok well that sucks haha. I guess I have to order new rubbers then in 2 weeks.

Yeah I always recommend trying new rubber unboosted first.

For D05, I don't think it will really help or hurt the rubber too much.
Its interesting hearing this as I was told by a pro player he thought the 05 had to be boosted as otherwise its too slow. I forgot to ask him how long it would last. But he clearly said there was a difference. And looking at how much its arching and has expanded I am surprised to hear it wont make much of a difference.
Anyway I wont have a unboosted reference point to compare it with. I might go buy some more sheets of 05 and use it unboosted if I like this one and it looses its effectiveness shortly.

I boosted a D09c before, the improvement is really nice. It developed a real click like the Tenergies, but it lasted only a week or so. Now I tried it on an old sheet of D09c, so I don't know if it lasts longer when new. When it lasted it was great through, much easier to access its power and a very pleasant click sound/feel. It was bouncer but not Tenergy bouncy. It felt like the best of Dignics and Tenergies combined.

Also, I first tried it less than 24 hours after boosting (2 layers of FTL), all my shots against backspin were going into the net. The next day was when it really started to shine.

Maybe see if any friends or clubmates have d05 to compare with yours.

In my experience I didnt find boosting D05 to add much ir any speed.

when the effect went away it just reverted back to "normal"? or it went dead?

once I bought a used D05 sheet. The topsheet was worn enough but still grippy. I was used to play chinese rubbers with tremendous amount of grip so at first I disliked D05. Than gave it 1 layer of baby oil. It curved a bit like my chinese rubbers(I dont understand how people boost and their rubber becomes like U letter). so the topsheet became more elastic(and still is) so the grip only with the topsheet became even worse but it became much more pleasant to play with the sponge. I boosted a month ago. The rubber still plays like at the moment it was boosted
