Does anyone know anything about Rakza XX which has appeared on the latest ITTF approved rubber listing (approval code 83-036)?

Currently playing with Rakza X so just wondering what this new version is all about. Google doesn't reveal anything; if you type in "Rakza XX" you just get info on Rakza X pop up.

I personally prefer R7 as it is more grippy, RX seems faster, still a good rubber though.
I always get the feeling that Rakza is the lower end of ESN performance. It seems like it doesn't produce the same responsiveness as MXP, Bluestorm, Rasanter in the 47h range.

What do you think?

I don't think they're lower end, Razkas and Fastarcs are just a different ESN recipe adopted by the Japanese brands, no factory boosting which means they're more straight forward, less lively, more stable and they last longer.

I personally much prefer and only like the ESN rubbers from Nittaku and Yasaka, they seem like much better quality, they hold up better and don't change after a week or so.

Just like I much prefer a boosted Chinese rubber to the ESN hybrids.

Me too I take a Rakza over an evolution any day in the week…

I agree with you here.
I was fortunate enough to have Rakza 7 very early on.
It is a very good rubber. Decades letter, it is still pretty good (despite the ball change)

I did notice the soft sponge versions would shrink alot (soft on any ESN would shrink more, so maybe I don't have enough data compared to other brands soft rubbers)

I have been selling Rakzas since 2012, and so far so good.

Yes soft rubbers tend to do this especially so, FX-P is a nightmare with this!

trial hit video

i cant get much info out of the video since it is in japanese
I haven't watched the video yet, but the top comment roughly translated to (by Google):
- Suitable for mid-table playing style
- If you want to play close to the table, you should probably put it on inner-fiber blade so that it's not too bouncy
- It feels softer than its stated hardness
- May be suitable for lady players who favour drives
