I know this has been done to death a few times and I have trolled the archives for information before posting this.
I'm ready to move on from Rakza 7 on my BH side.
I played with Rakza X a few yrs ago but found it a little fast then so I went through Xsoft and Rakza 7 as I worked on my technique.
I was thinking to get Rakza X again but before I do I thought I'd ask for a few recommendations seeing as there are so many rubbers that I haven't tried!
Price isn't an issue if the rubber has good durability: 2 Rakza 7s a yr is €80 anyway so one €80 Butterfly rubber is fine 'IF' it lasts 12 mths.
I like to attack, counter and loop on BH side and I use a fast wooden blade, currently have Yasaka MLEO and Yasaka Silverline 9 wood🏓
Thank in advance 👍

How about Nittaku Hammond Z2 or Tibhar hybrid MK. Or maybe Vega Euro hybrid. Rakza Z is also good but on the heavy side…

I am playing with 729 Dragon F. This one is a little tacky, has a teeniwheeni bit of catapult. More spinny and slower than Rakza 7 but not in H3 territory.

Cheers

Vega Europe is soft mush, Rakza 7 is IMO better.

I mean the old Vega Europe not the DF.

I'm just saying around 42-45 degree rubbers since that is between Rakza X and X soft. But I guess Baracuda or Fastar C-1, G-1 would work well too.
Bluestorm JP01-02.

I think Vega Europe and Japan are very overlooked and the Vega Japan in particular is 👌👌👌

I meant the same one… I don’t know about Vega Japan but Europe is horrible. Have you tried Vega Europe hybrid?

Tenergy 19 👌

it's fast at first but after 2-3 months, you get used to.
however durability isn't that long, but it's still should be not bad at all.
Hi Aizen
Can you tell me a little about the Tenergy rubbers? I've never used Butterfly, and never even looked at them before now because of the price.
I think there's 5 different ones right?
05, 19, 25 64 & 80 (Maybe even another I've not heard of...)
Where does Tenergy 19 fit into the Tenergy lineup in terms of speed/spin etc.

Hmmm, I found the Vega Europe to be a feel good rubber, just nice to play with. Oh well.
I haven't tried any of the Xiom Hybrids, I kinda lost all hope with ESN hybrids after K3 and C2 being not durable at all.
Rakza Z and K2 are pretty decent tho, but I wouldn't really rec them for BH especially for someone who was using X soft or similar.
My fav among the Vega series is Japan and Asia for BH. I think those are great, but Asia is fast. Japan actually feels like T05 if I have to be brutally honest. A lot more so than Vega X or Pro.

Yes, Hammond is a good shout, thank you 👍
Fast enough and lots of spin.
I actually tried it on a clubmates racket during the summer and liked it.Had forgotten about that!
I must ask him about the durability...

It fringes around the edges easily this is the only thing I noticed…

If you consider the Hammond Z2 you could look at Mantra Pro too. The direct Z2 alternative in Mantra Pro would be the H version, but Mantra Pro has M and XH too. Maybe M would be more suitable for BH. On TT-Japan it's really cheap (23-25USD), I really wouldn't mind recommending their shop.

RXX is like harder R7, I play with it now, it's very good, but perhaps on the hardness-edge for my BH level... But who knows, you may like it... It really is so personal, as I see in the replies here... E.g. the Z2 didn't feel good for flicking at all to me, too hard top-sheet, and some people like it, see, everything personal...

I don't mind trying something like these as I'm moving past X Soft. I'm experimenting with Rakza Z at the moment as it's my FH rubber anyway and it's interesting. Great in serves and short game and, with enough power in the stroke, can generate really good shots!
I think a rubber with more catapult will be easier to use though as the Z needs a fair bit of racket speed to be dangerous for me on BH.

Vega Japan noted 👍
Would you recommend T05 on BH?

I haven't tried other versions only 05 and 19, they almost overlap in lineup (highest spin side) but 19 feels really fun to play wit it. soft top-sheet, faster and spinner version of rakza 7 at similar hardness with lot better grip.
Top end might not be good as 05 but still more than enough for BH (at least at my level)
