Remove glue from cloth mousepad

Hi guys,

Yesterday I made the error of glueing some tabletennis rubbers at my desk in my home office.
On this desk I have large mousepad, which I covered with a hobbymat, but ofcourse I spilled glue right next to the hobbymat on the mousepad.

Do you guys have any tips on removing the glue from cloth?
Do chemincals like terpentine or something similar work, or is another method the way forward.
The mousepad can be machine washed if thats something to consider.

It's not so easy to remove, but once glue has dried, you can try using something slightly abrasive, like the "cleaning rubber for shoes".
It worked on my pants
