rubber shrinking when regluing?

Ok so I boosted my dignics 05 and 09c rubbers and they played really well. still do after few months now.
However I got some new ones in and I decided to replace the boosted ones with unboosted.
The boosted ones I reglued on another blade. That blade is exact same size as the previous blade they where on. However now the rubber has shrunk a bit and doesnt fit the blade.
So I am assuming this: The rubber was "stretched out" on the blade originally and glued on. kept the stretch as it was fastened to the blade.
Once I took it off it had the "freedom" to return to the less stretched state before regluing it on the other blade. Is this correct assumption?

So does that mean one has to reboost rubbers before regluing them on same size blade to get the same fit?

Which brings me to another question: Does reboosting a rubber work? will it respond?

Boosting a rubber gives it higher tension hence once you remove it from the blade it will shrink. You can either reglue it but place the rubber a little higher than usual, or glue it normally but would have to stretch it out. I recommender the 1st option. I don't personally boost so I unfortunately can't answer the last point.
