Hi,
I borrowed old rubbers donic acuda s2 and Yasaka rakza 7 soft, both 2.0 and I was satified ,specialy with speed ,because I like soft and not speedy rubbers. So I ordered same new rubbers also 2.0 but they are way faster. By the way I tried all rubers on same blade vivtas 3.5.
I will probably ordered both rubbers again with 1.8 and my question.
Are donic acuda s2 and yasaka Rakza 7 soft 2.0 way more faster than same nodels with thicknessof 1.8 ?
Any experience?

If you see your only choice as sticking with the 2.0 or getting the 1.8 then save your money and persevere with the 2.0, the difference is noticeable but not massively (imo) so I wouldn't be sure it's worth spending the money.
I expect the difference is small enough such that I think you'll get used to the 2.0 almost as soon as the 1.8.

I remember being surprised by the catapult when yrs back I bought Rakza 7 to replace a Mark V rubber and thinking I'd never be able to play it but a month later it felt completely normal and controllable.

I've not played the S2 so no 1st hand experience here although it is designed to be a spin orientated rubber of mid speed and (although that's different things to different people depending on their level) I'd still try it for a while before buying something new.

How long have you been playing with them?

Thickness affects mainly the impact, speed will not change almost at all. It's still the same topsheet, same technology, etc. If you want something slower then find another rubber or play these until their factory tuning fades.
