Hi y'all,
This is an awesome community and I was wondering what you guys think about two things I've been considering lately.
First: Currently I'm rocking Rozena on both sides of my blade. They are ok rubbers, but my FH loop is getting pretty good and I was thinking about trying something a bit more spinny / hard on there. I was looking up Rakza 7 and it looks like (at least based on Revspin) that it does have more spin / speed then Rozena. Another thing I'm considering is switching to Xeom Vega Europe on my BH. I tried it out and it felt really good on my BH. Not sure if it was just "shiny object" syndrom where i liked it because it was different and shiny or if it was actually different. What do you guys think about those rubbers? Especially about combo of those two rubbers?
Second question: My club is a decent drive from where I live unfortunately and going more then once a week (maaaaaaybe twice on less busy week) is unrealistic. So I was looking into getting home set ups so I can practice in between club sessions. Problem is I don't have a ton of space to put a full size table tennis in. There is room to put one in, but I'm going to be fairly limited in movement etc. I was thinking it'd be a good idea to try out the VR thing and see how it goes. I got Quest 3 over the weekend and I love the VR table tennis game. It does have its issues but its really fun. However, I've been reading up about it online and it seems like some folks say that it does trainsition into real world nicely and some say it really doesn't and it makes their game worse. What are your thoughts on it? I'm debating should I return quest 3, get a real table (Quest 3 was 500 bucks, so I can get a decent table and have a bit of money left over) + robot but have very limited space to do drills etc or stick with VR and be able to properly move and stuff but with limitations of VR (I can properly move because I can set a table anywere in the house where i have enough space left and right)?
Thanks!
Update: I measured my space of where I thought I could put a table, but turns out I was wrong. It can fit but it will be snug and I can only move as wide as the table goes but I can't move much back (maybe a step or two). So it's either mid size table or VR for home setup.
