sold my rubbers and made a nice deal

Last month I bought a very nice pristine Viscaria from @Catenaccio
My first real 'new' Viscaria
I gathered some advice here and I glued DHS H3 neo 39° OS and Yinhe Moon Blue medium hardness on it. So Monday evening as I was playing at the club the chairman walked up to me looking at the blue rubber.
'Do you have a new blade again?' (that's the most heard phrase for me at the club )
So I said yes, I skinned some Smurf. Do you want to try it? Let's switch blades
He agreed, I got his older Viscaria with some Joola rubbers on it and he played with mine.
So after a few games, he returned the blade and said: I like these rubbers. Can you send me a Whatsapp message with the name? I said, sure, will do.
At the bar, we talked about it and he said, isn't this setup too fast for you?
I said why do you think so? He said "I had to adjust to keep the ball on the table"
The barkeeper (50+ years of tt experience) says: "Yeah, you know it's Richard, he has two hobbies, playing table tennis and ej-ing"
So you too think it's too fast for me?
He said yes, clearly, you need to work on your technique more and that won't work well with these fast blades and thick rubbers.

I make you a deal: You get yourself some slow rubbers on one of the slower blades you have and I'm gonna prep you for next season, we'll train every week for an hour, besides the normal club training

The chairman responded you can sell me your rubbers then? I said why not... So I took my Viscaria and ripped off the rubbers right there. Chairman said, be careful! .. where is the glue?
I think I heard the barkeeper sighing in disappointment "Speed glue"

Or you got the money for the rubbers and the training as well for delivering the rubbers?
Either way it sounds good and the one hr a week personal actually sounds great!
What level are you at now? And what blade and rubber will you use for the training?

I wasn't able to get a ranking last year.. a total horror story of the team I was assigned to. Last week I played someone ranked 1100 and I lost 11-7 14-12 and 11-8. I recon myself as leaving the beginners rankings.

I have found some Xiom Vega intro in a drawer and glued those on a Nittaku Violin. Slow enough?

Sounds good to me!
I can't say if it's slow enough or otherwise but at that level I expect you'll have the control you need with it! 🙂
I have never used Nittaku Violin but I'm playing with a Nittaku Acoustic since mid-May and love it. As I understand the Violin is a little slower so to my mind it could be perfect.

I have never used Nittaku Violin but I'm playing with a Nittaku Acoustic since mid-May and love it. As I understand the Violin is a little slower so to my mind it could be perfect.

Took the blade to practice tonight. Xiom Vega Intro on a Violin 🎻 is NOT slow!
A little bit too direct, not easy to create an arc. Had to work with the arm and wrist to get a nice arc. I started playing a game with someone I regularly play with... Couldn't return his serves.. in the net or over the table.
after a few games, I went to the robot table to get some feeling for this setup and after half an hour I had some confidence in this setup.
