Something a bit quicker than Fastarc G1?

Hi Guys. Recently been trying the G1 again the FH.

Now I really like all aspects of the rubber but do feel it’s a little slow. When I go for open ups I feel like I have to put a lot of effort to get the ball over with a high quality shot.

Was just wondering what rubber is similar to G1 but with a little more speed.

Thanks in advance

Tenergy 05, I mean people have said for years that G1 is T05-light
True, though with the caveat that T05 is a lot more than a bit faster than G1. The extra speed puts more pressure on your opponent but also on you to recover more quickly. You also get more spin at the cost of having to handle more spin sensitivity. In my opinion for most players this is a bad trade off. There must be some similar high throw rubber that's in between G1 and T05, but I don't know what it is. Maybe some of the stuff mentioned above.

Tibhar Evolution MX-P is the standard answer, the problem is that it doesn't last long because of the evaporating booster.

I only tried T05 once and G1 a few times, but I wasn't blown away by the difference tbh. It didn't feel like there was a giant leap between them

Subjective of course. I played with both for quite a while, though not at the same time. A few years ago I tried a blade with new sheets of T05 on one side and G1 on the other. The difference on direct comparison was even bigger than expected, both hitting with that set-up and against it, and my coach felt the same way. Could have been just that one particular set-up, but in my experience the difference is significant.

I played both for years, likewise not at the same time. Depends what big difference means to you. You can switch between them and adjust quickly. But one feels like spring sponge and one doesn't. And the ball is going to react more off t05, which is both good and bad.

The OP said a bit quicker, maybe try t64.

Subjective, 100%! I don't want to claim the absolute truth, just bringing a balance through my personal account.

Also, I can imagine in some cases the difference could be big. T05 is definitely more reactive to incoming spin, has a softer topsheet and spring sponge, whereas G1 is more firm. They react differently for sure, but on anything low to medium powered I found the result of my stroke to be very predictable for both rubbers.

OP is unlikely to be a pro but my answer came from a 2400 player one day when I told him I played with G1. There is a reason why MX-P was the 05 competitor for a while. That and Bluefire.
MX-P (and -D) is still very popular at the low-level club where I play. To me it combines more speed and less spin than t05. Not the combination I desire, but I see the appeal. And it's for sure a bit (or a lot) faster than g1.

mx-p has the same spin as tenergy, it is only harder to activate for low level players because the ball leaves the racket faster
