Spanish National Table Tennis Championships - is a table tennis competition organized by Real Federación Española de Tenis de mesa (Royal Spanish Table Tennis Federation, RSTTF) has been held annually since 1943, with the exception of 1945, 1947 and 1950. Medals are awarded in singles and doubles among men and women, as well as in mixed doubles.

History

The competition has been held every year since 1943, with the exception of 1945, 1947 and 1950. The first tournament was held in the luxurious setting of the Frontón Condal, courtesy of this tournament, thanks to the efforts of Mr. José Rigau, President of the Catalan-Balearic Federation of Basque Pelota, who honored the event with his presence, accompanied by the President of the Spanish Table Tennis Federation, Mr. Andrés Arch, and other officials who were warmly welcomed when they appeared in the presidential box. Medals are awarded in singles and doubles for men and women, as well as in mixed doubles. The first champions were the Balearic Cruz Morey, who defeated the local champion of Catalonia, Conchita Panadés, in the final, and the Catalan Pere Pagés. And after that, Catalonia remained the centre of Spanish table tennis for a long time, producing champions in more than 70% of the gold medals awarded.
Mixed doubles competitions ceased to be held in 2006, when they were won by Galia Dvorak and Víctor Sánchez. The sport was included as an Olympic sport at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which played a decisive role in its resumption in 2019. The winners of that edition were the duo Sofía Xuan-Zhang, Carlos Caballero, and in 2020, Jesús Cantero and Ana García. In 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all doubles competitions were cancelled.
In the men's singles, the Andalusian athlete Carlos Machado leads with eleven titles (2001, 2004, 2006, 2008-14, 2018), followed by Josep Maria Palés with nine titles (1977, 1978, 1980, 1983, 1985-88, 1992), and Jordi Palés (1960-62, 1968-71, 1973) and Roberto Casares (1989-91, 1993-97), each with eight titles. In the women's singles, the eight individual titles won by Montserrat Sanahuja (1974, 1978-85) stand out, followed by seven titles each by Pilar Lupón (1969, 1971-73, 1976, 1977, 1980), Anna Maria Godes (1986-92) and Galia Dvorak (2002-05, 2017, 2018, 2021).
