Hello Guys!

I plan on glueing rubbers on my Stiga Dynasty Carbon again.
The first time I used it for a couple of months and then took off the rubbers and the surface started to splinter a little bit.
I probably wasnt very careful when removing the rubbers at the time as I wasnt very experienced yet.

I saw how this guy is using some sort of speed glue on certain blades where the surface could be more vulnerable.
For the Dynasty Carbon especially, he is always using speed glue as the first layer on the blade.

He seems to know about this stuff.

I want to protect my blade but I also do not want to use speed glue every time.
Sealing is also an option but I am not sure about the lacquer I have.

The speed glue I have is from Loki in Green Color.

I will probably keep the same rubbers on for longer periods of time and not switch very often.

My question is:
Should I also use speed glue like this guy?

I watched the video and do not want to be critical in any way but still the question arises:
"""What made you think it is speed glue that is being applied""" ???

Personally I would seal any limba and/or Stiga blade. I had a Stiga Eternity when it first came out and this was the result of the very first rubber removal. Eternally no more Stiga blades for me after that, lol

I have the Xu Xin Cpen blade too, the top ply is very fragile so I sealed it with 2 layers of blade lacquering. Never had any issues since then
Yeah, that's more like it (y)😁

I do supply and fit new rubbers for club members but had very bad experience esp. with Stiga blades to the extend that huge bits of top laminate came off with the rubbers.
Now I ask Stiga owners to remove the rubbers themselves before handing the blades to me.

that isn't speed glue, but normal glue.
the theory there is as what you assumed - to not allow the white glue to soak into the plies and causing damage (loosening).

I would also suggest sealing the blade with vanish, as i'm not sure if your loki glue is water based or not.

This guy is famous in China (lots of followers in bilibili and douyin) as he's really good at cutting the rubber. He insists in using speed glue as first layer of glue on the top ply for any fragile paddles (DHS, Stiga), as he claims that speed glue has less adhesive force. After the first layer of speed glue, he will apply another layer of normal glue on the paddle.

..........and so he will apply the speed glue layer every-time he puts a new rubber on ?
If he is doing this what's wrong with just 1 layer of sealant and then be done with for good ? Also, if speed glue has less adhesive force there is surely a chance that a rubber comes loose during match.

He is using 1 layer of speed glue on the blade. The Rest is normal glue.

Thats the reason why I want to do the same.
I have seen his Videos before, not only on Youtube, and I trust in his experience.

Also, if speed glue has less adhesive force there is surely a chance that a rubber comes loose during match.

A couple of months ago I tested this same procedure on a different racket.
It had a very strong bond, even stronger than normal glueing and the rubber was difficult to remove from the blade.
So that would probably not be an issue.

I think I will follow what the guy in the video does.
His followers often send their Rackets to him for assembly and there seems to be no problems.

I will boost both Battle 3 rubbers with 1 or 2 layers Yellow Haifu.

On monday I will get a chance to test the racket.

highend DHS blades also suffer from the same issue. they all have soft Koto outer in order to increase the ball feel

Yes, every time for Stiga/DHS, not butterfly. He does this not only for himself, but mostly for the strangers from internet. People mail the blade and rubbers to him, he glue the rubbers on, cut the rubbers and make a video of it. So he really have done a lot of blades (I'd say at least hundreds) with this methodology, non complain I ever saw.
