Hi TableTennisDaily Forum members

Tom Lodziak here. I’m doing some research into which rubbers are most popular amongst the amateur table tennis community.

I’ve created a very short survey, which will take less that two minutes to complete. In the survey I ask which rubber you currently use on your forehand and backhand, and what you like about these rubbers.

My plan is to publish the findings in some sort of league table of the most popular rubbers. This could help players explore new options when choosing their next rubbers.

If you have a spare moment, please complete my survey here: https://www.tabletenniscoach.me.uk/table-tennis-rubber-survey-2022/

Quoting Thom Yorke, no real surprises there!

The usual suspects, maybe a few smaller eyebrow raises lower on the list - probably due to the UK/United Episcopates of America slant. More french, german, swedish response might have swapped Joola out for Donic, Tibhar, Stiga.

I kinda like the overrepresentation (I think) of real rubber containing coverings. Small sample, though.

Yes, quite interesting to see what the number 1 most popular rubber was amongst the survey sample. Here's the results for anyone who's interested... https://www.tabletenniscoach.me.uk/the-most-popular-table-tennis-rubbers-in-2022/
Thank you! Didn't expect to see the H3 make it in the top 10. Would be interesting to see - if there is enough data - in which country which rubbers are the most popular. In Germany we see some regional differences because the large stores in these areas mostly try to sell their own brands e.g. Schöler&Micke = Andro https://www.andro.de/de/impressum = North Rhine-Westphalia, Sport Schreiner = Donic (https://www.donic.com/donic/custom/index/sCustom/47 and https://shop.sport-schreiner-tischtennis.de/sst/impressum) = Saarland and Tibhar is based just 8 km away from Donic...
