Been playing with falcima off (butterfly) for a while. I really want to switch to inner carbon blade (people in my club advice me to as well), because I like having a soft touch and control as well. My current rubbers are rakza 7 2.0mm. What would be a good choice for a first carbon blade. Been thinking about innerforce butterfly, but not sure how it feels, also ma lin soft carbon, carbon. Any suggestions are welcome!

Switching to carbon shouldn't be a goal in itself.

What are you missing from your current setup? And what do you like about it?
What are the people from the club saying, why do you need to switch according to them?
And why to inner carbon?

If there's nothing that needs to be fixed by switching to carbon... Don't change your blade.

DHS Fang Bo B2 is fairly cheap, high performance, very reliable choice.

I guess more direct attacks, speed, fun as well. No real reason for inner carbon could be outer. Just not sure how it’s gonna fit me. I have aggressive playstyle, I like to flick a lot and play for third ball attacks straight away. If that helps

If you want a real ”easy going outer” try Nittaku S-CZ or Donic Appegren WC 89.
Two very similar blades. The only thing to watch out for is that the top layer is spruce which easily splinters. You have to be super careful when changing rubbers…

I am an old fashioned guy, so my answer will be:

1st carbon blade to transition from allwood blade -->

(1) Donic Waldner Senso Carbon.
(2) Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon (basically WSC without senso handle).
(3) Yasaka Ma Lin Soft Carbon (basically Yasaka Sweden Extra with inner fleece carbon).

If you like harder outer ply on your current blade, then try DHS 301 or Hurricane AcB. 301 is more flexible, AcB has thicker core. They are absolute bangers for this money. And there are not that much inner carbon blades with harder outer ply on the market, so they are one of the best options
