Hello all

I'm about to buy my first table tennis. Looking around I see many brands and different table mm,what should I choose ?
the price difference is huge.
I used to play long time ago,now I have the space to fit a table.
Is the difference between a 18mm,19,21 and 25 so dramatic ?

Thanks !

For indoor use. Serious hobby :D

for 400€ there is available one used with light color marks (not scratch or dents ) on the surface. I guess it cames from the ball when it hit the table on serve.
Next option the same new for 500€ ,then butterfly for 650€ and finally 18mm or 19mm don't remember exactly at 330€

After the table i will start looking for a robot.

any advice ?

I agree with NDH.
18mm and 25mm, there is a big difference.
Also to be frank, Hobby ones don't last long.
If I have 500 Euros as budget, I will go for 22mm at least.

I am aware Butterfly sells tables in Greece, but I don't think they are made from Butterfly.
As Butterfly doesn't produce tables. usually they are licensed. Meaning producer pay money to have Butterfly logo on the table.

Companies that make tables by themselves and not using MOU (for others to produce it for them)
Cornilleau
Joola
Enebe
Sponeta
XIOM
Sanei
Stag

Try to buy from above.
Usually try to buy from companies that exists in Greece.
That is the best way. Because it is usually hard to ask for replacement incase there are damages or defects on the tables that you've received. :)

I hope I helped.
