I try to be good and play with a all wood blade. The 4 blades i am using now is:
- Donic New Impulse 6,5 with Fastarg g-1 fh and c-1 backhand
- Tibhar Bernadette szocs signature 1 with fastarc g-1 on fh and bh.
- Nittaku Ma logn seven with Nittaku c-1 on bh and Glayser 09c on fh. I prefer Fastarc over Glayzer.
- Tibhar Zodiac libra sac with Tibhar k3 on fh and bh. To fast for me.

And then i try a new blade. Butterfly Harimoto alc with Dignics 64 on fh and dignics 05 on backhand.
Its a player who i win at least 50% of my games against, and i tought it should be way to fast and uncontrolled.
But no, my forehand felt like i could put the ball where i wanted. The speed was good, but with a lot control.
Dignics 05 was good, but not that extreme control.
So before i buy the same blade. why is it so? Is the Butterfly just so much better?
I know to just try a blade often seems good and it takes time to experience the setup, but this was special.

There is only one. One blade to rule them all....

Throw away the rest away or give them to charity.

Perhaps it's the other way around. Because of your long time use of all wood blades, your fundamentals improved enough to control carbon blades. At this point you can switch to carbon if you wish.
Yes, maybe it is. I also think its an excuse to go furter with my testing. Buy more blades to test :) I read a test on tt-spin.com about Dignics 64 and i found it describing much of the same feeling i had. This tread was created out of a little dispear, because i had to bite the dust and buy rubbers for 100 dollar a side. I love the complexity of tt, but its also a little frustrating to get a overview of the different equipment (and to find out how much it has to say).

Sounds like inner alc might just be a good combo for you. I was experimenting with carbon after using wood since I started playing tt and right off the bat the inner compositions were more comfortable to use. I eventually felt like I wanted a bit more and now I'm using a Viscaria sibling, funny how things work out

During this week's training, you've been alternating between four different blades with various rubbers. Now you've found a fifth blade with completely different rubbers? My advice is to buy the fifth blade and the rubbers you want, then put the other four in a locked box until summer.

PS! As a fellow Norwegian, I know that writing "how much it has to say" is incomprehensive in the english language. This is a direct translation of "hvor mye det har å si", which is something Norwegians say when describing "how important it is" ;-)

I agree with you. But i have mostly used the Donic blade for a long time. Only to try simular rubbers on the Nittaku blade for some months. The Tibhar Szoch blade i got last week because i wanted to try anatomic handle. I use the same rubbers on it. I Think i wil stick with one of these 3 blades at least until summer. Or like you said buy the fifth blade and stay with it. I will play a little more with the Harimoto blade and find out if its for me.
