T25fx user here.

Block is good. Counter-drive is good. But if forced away from table, you are toast. Good for close to table blocker or counter-driving stylist: Girly game.

Koki Niwa was using T25 for a bit on fh. I think it is the best Tenergy for smash and hit, the fast pimple structure makes the trajectory very straightforward and stable. T25FX is also the mildest and easiest Tenergy to use second to T19 imo

I am a Open-Minded person, don't mind experimenting with my preferences. It is all about the experiences.

Forget to mention earlier, I used the T25fx for BH which is still usable but for FH.... it does not suit my style. I ain't nutin' like Koki Niwa.

I just got a sheet of Tenergy 25....I'm just past a beginner stage (Non coached) so I will outline my reasons from my point of view. I think a lot of views here are personal as I think each person wants something suitable to what they want the rubber to do and their assessment of where they are in terms of skill.

In my case I
1) Play close to the table and this rubber was pretty obviously intended for that from a lot of other reviews online. It's also why it seems to be hated on by a lot of other tenergy players who play away from the table and therefore don't consider this rubber worthy of being part of the tenergy series.
2) I was keen on trying the tenergy series but was intimidated by their reputation of being uncontrollable rockets.
3) According to the butterfly rubber specifications PDF (attached) this was the middle ground in terms of speed vs spin. All their rubbers such as t19/t05/t64/ dignics are very clearly intended for a much higher level of play and the slower rubbers such as sriver/tackiness etc seem aimed at chopping and also seem to be from a much older generation before the tenergy/dignics/glayzer.

I must say it was actually hard to get a hold of so obviously not a popular choice but as long as it does what I intend I'm good with that. Will update once I get a chance to play it for a while.

I played tenergy 25 for a year (1.9 in backhand). It's an uncommon rubber because of the size and thickness of the pips. Here are the pro's and cons:

Pro's:
- Very good for serve receive because it is not too reactive
- Decent for serves. I didn't feel I could put massive amounts of spin on my serve but it was easy to keep them short
- Great for blocking and hitting very close to the table.
- Great for topspin if you take the ball right after the bounce. This also means countertopspin.

Cons:

-Not easy to topspin on low backspin balls
- The ball doesn't sink in the rubber. It shoots straight out. This has its advantages for quick close to the table play but is a disadvantage for everything else.
- It's heavy

I stopped playing with tenergy 25 because the disadvantages were greater than the advantages. I played great against certain types of offensive players with tenergy 25 but it was a disaster for me against other players who prevented me from using the strengths of this rubber. For example, playing against choppers was a complete disaster.

In the end I enjoyed table tennis more with a more conventional rubber that allowed me to do all kinds of shots close and far away from the table. I would only recommend tenergy 25 if you play a quick offensive game right after the bounce and you never change your game plan when playing against different opponents.

I also vouch for how difficult it is to lift low backspin ball. It is not impossible but I find other offensive rubber can perform that stroke much easier. I mean whether it bothers you depend on your play style. If one likes to open up against back spin ball to initiate the attack pattern, then other rubber than T25 can do better.

Has T25fx on my BH for four months thereabout and this is my comment:

1. Tenergy 25fx is easy to block with.
2. It is more durable compared to other Tenergy.
3. It's edge does not chip off easily compared to other Tenergy.
4. It has a linear feel.
5. Somehow counter-hitting or counter-driving is a breeze ( when used on my FH )

p/s: Just ordered a sheet of T25 regular for FH use because all the above attributes. I can live with the trade-off of not being so easy to lift back-spin.
