Hello everyone, this is a fan who wishes to remain anonymous. After using SANWEI Fextra One for a long time, he switched to Froster. He hopes that I can help him share his experience to help players who have used pure wood blades choose fiber blades that suit them. 🙌

Introduction:
In the last two years, my game has changed significantly. I switched from a seven-layer pure wood blade(SANWEI Fextra One) to an outer 5+2 Arylate carbon table tennis blade(SANWEI Froster). With the upgrade of my rubbers, i have experienced many benefits and emotions. In this article, I will share with you my amazing experiences and transformations.

1. Speed

The biggest improvement is the faster first speed compared to a wood blade. This increased first speed will allow you to strike the ball with greater accuracy and score more, especially when you’re ready to deliver that fatal blow. This also benefits from upgraded rubbers that have a higher throwing angle and reduce the likelihood of hitting a net. It may take a while to adjust to the forceful and powerful ball. At first, you might feel overwhelmed. Once you are used to the force, you’ll have a lot of fun.

2. Power

Actually I don’t need to explain this point too much, this is actually the biggest difference between carbon table tennis blades and all wood table tennis blades, especially in the process of long-stage holding, you don’t need to sacrifice too much of your own technical movements in order to get the ball on the table and score points: it is well known that we usually train in the hitting position will be deformed in the actual game (this is actually the biggest difference between the professional players and the amateurs) – the shortcomings are even more obvious when using pure wood – because pure wood can’t provide a strong base power, so sometimes we have to force ourselves to change the posture to get the ball on the table. However, with this outer ALCcarbon table tennis blade, I could clearly feel that the fibers of the racket were providing a lot of power, which allowed me to change my stance to a lesser extent in order to hit powerful shots, whether attack or looping

3. Control
I did a lot of homework before replacing the carbon fiber table tennis blade, one of my biggest concerns is whether the carbon fiber blade will weaken my control of the ball, but in the actual use of the process, I found that this concern is almost negligible, in the handling of the ball in the near table, the carbon fiber blade due to the elasticity and power of the greater cause, compared with the pure wood to deal with the ball it is a little difficult to control(but this can be completely balanced and compensated by the rubber) after all, for me it is difficult to score directly on the near table, more as a transition between the middle and far table. However, in the middle and long stage, the control advantage of the carbon fiber blade comes out. The stronger and powerful of blade allows us to be more precise in our stance and point of hit, and thus more precise control. After getting familiar with the carbon fiber blade, I feel that the point of hit can be at least 30% better than before, and I can hit the ball closer to the bottom corner – There is no doubt that this will lead to more effective scoring.

4. Feeling
I always think that feel is a very vague concept, it should be a comprehensive and subjective feeling, strictly speaking, it should not be used as an indicator to evaluate a table tennis blade. Usually, professional players can tell the feel of a racquet the moment they get it, partly because they have used a variety of racquets, but more importantly, because they have trained day in and day out, and their stance and shots are very stable (at least compared to amateurs), in other words, they know exactly what kind of racquet is suitable for them! For the other amateurs players, our posture and power are not stable, and we will make mistakes, we have to consider this when picking the right blade, so the feel can be considered from two aspects, the first one is for the improvement of the strengths, and the second one is for the shortcomings of the board to supplement, for me, after upgrading to the fiber boards my overall ability has improved a lot, and the win rate has also improved, so I think this Fiberboard has a good feel and good forgiveness.

Conclusion:
The switch from a pure wood blade to an Arylate carbon blade has brought me amazing transformations in speed, power, control, and feel. I am now more confident in my game and can enjoy it more. If you are considering making a similar switch, I hope this article can provide you with some inspiration and guidance!
