Hi Guys,

Sorry to bother you again. So I recently done a post about looking for a 47-48 degree BH rubber for my Ovtcharov innerforce ALC blade.

After reading the recommendations in the replies and doing a little more research I’ve narrowed it down to:

Tibhar Hybrid Mk
Tibhar Aurus Prime

Was just wondering if anyone has used both how do they compare.

Would also like to know what’s the durability like?

Both rubbers will be in max thickness

Thanks

Some things I could gather:
I've read bad things in terms of durability of the MK here, Aurus Prime should be average, depending on usage 2-6 months easy
MK should play more linear and therefore feels more controlled for most, while Aurus Prime is fast with more catapult.
I do must say that I only tried the Hybrid MK a bit and that on a weird custom made blade. But I have to say I really enjoyed the grip and was easy to adapt to it overall. For me who likes a more linear feel, the MK would be my choice.

If you play more agressive and all out offensive with direkt winners go Aurus Prime. Plenty fast, good spin.
If you play controlled with a variety of shots and speeds go with Hybrid MK. Decently fast, high spin and control,

I only played Prime during several hours, it felt like a typical tensor rubber.
MK is more like a soft hybrid with excellent grip, good control, and surprisingly heavy spin for its hardness (it's 48 on paper but feels softer). I would say it is a superior rubber in this comparison in almost every way, especially thanks to its little sensitivity to the incoming spin and the ease of play for a hybrid. The only downside is the durability, which is why I moved away from it--each rubber lasted for about 1-2 months for me, then it degraded.

How would the Fastarc G1 compare as a BH rubber compared to Hybrid MK?
It honestly depends on how you play your backhand.
If you prefer brushing, quick contact, and blocking, then G1 is a superior rubber.
If you exercise strong forward motion, then MK is better--it greatly benefits from power investment and is among top dogs in countering. While it's spin-insensitive, I don't like its passive blocking due to a fairly high (K3/D09C-alike) and somewhat wiggly arc--you have to exercise active blocking with MK.

I personally believe MK is an excellent FH rubber and would only use it that way, but I know several people with a more powerful BH technique, who prefer MK as a BH rubber and they're doing great.
