Alright?
Table tennis is more of social thing for me now, I love playing with my mates, I don't have time or money to train at the moment. I've played locally and nationally for over 20 years now.
However I did something I've never done before. For fun I decided to play my local summer league with a hard bat setup, I got the cheapest attacking blade and slapped some OX short pimps on each side. (Normal bat for normal competitive season consists of a OSP Virtuoso blade with VICTAS 15 for backhand and Spinfire short pimps for forehand)
I had a great time, smiling through every match, I lost a majority of them but I don't think I lost without taking at least one or two sets. Also hitting the occasional stinky slap or disgusting chop block which made everything very satisfying.
My backhand is a work of art however my forehand is honestly atrocious. It always been this way since I first started playing 23 years ago, I've needed several 1-2-1 training sessions just to make my forehand workable!
I'm thinking for the next summer league to go for an attacking blade with Spinfire OX one side with a Victas attacking rubber for the opposite side. I'll be looking to throw people off, annoy them with the short ox pimps by slapping forehands and receiving serves with them. I have no idea how it's going to work but I'm already excited for next summer league to mess around again.
Does anyone know if some mentalist who uses this combo/style?
