I don't think it's new, but I have seen this around for a while. It's good. I think it's similar to something like R53, very fast and powerful with some hardness.
V20 Double extra is out for a while... this is V20 Extra, which is 47.5 deg hardness on ESN scale. definitely not similiar to R53 = V20 DE

i used to play with v 15 and v20 doubleextra so once v20 appeared on tt11 weekly discount i grabbed a sheet. hoping it combines the two together with v15 sponge and v20 grippy topsheet.

topsheet feels the same as v20 as expected.
weight in max (black) = 68g

i will test the characteristics in a few days

Great to have a short review from someone who played with v15 and v20 doubleextra!

I play forehand with the new V>20 Extra 2.0mm for a month now. It is the new hybrid rubber with thinner rubber sheet. Since I am an upper-end beginner player only, I would never have gone to 47.5 hardness on pure tensor rubber (like v>15), but this new composition works wonder! for me and I am improving my game rapidly. On my 7 plies wood, the rubber offers incredible control and different speeds.. up to really acceptable ones. By different speeds in mean : On very low swing input, hybrid absorbs energy and feels much dead compare to tensor ( no automatic bounce ) and with exceptional control. On moderate swing (and up..), power and spin develop and control remains!

All that theorical info. is already available online, but playing it was a revelation for me. V>20 Extra very much compares with new Thibar Hybrid MK (I play softer FX version on backend, 45 degr).

Absolutely love it.

Would like to have some other players input : )

have just hit for a few hours, initial impression is that it is a fair bit slower than v15, feels a bit more muted, not so bouncy. super grippy and spinny, it's consistent and easy to play with.
finally a review on this new rubber , many thanks! How does the sponge hardness feel as compared to V15e? Does the rubber better fit for FH or BH?

V20 extra feels harder in my opinion. Despite the sponge hardness being the same it's not the same sponge. V20's is more dense whereas v15s is more 'airy'.

First image is V15, second is V20 Extra.

For me personally I much prefer it as a forehand rubber, i'm too reliant on springy tensors on my backhand side. As v20 extra comes across as a 'you get what you put in' rubber it suits my forehand more.

Could the V20 Extra similarity to the Tibhar MK Hybrid?
I assume you are asking if the two are similar. I'd say they fall in the same category of rubber. Grippy hybrid rubber with decent spin and speed. However I feel like the v20 extra is slightly faster and harder in feeling. The MK hybrid feels just a tiny bit more controlled but doesn't have the same penetrating power in shots.
