Why are most Balsa blades small in comparison to other blades?

Belated happy holidays to everyone here

I am planning on purchasing a custom blade and got curious regarding the Balsa blades.
I have at Yinhe t11, Spinlord ultra V balsa, and tsp 8.5. These blades have smaller size than other blades.

I was going to go with a Balsa blade with a regular 157x150 headsize.
Will changing a balsa blades headsize change the way it plays by a big margin?

i thought T-11+ blades are already standard sized blades. The smaller type of balsa carbon blades are the old Tibhar Rapid Carbon and the Donic Black Devil blades.

Donic Black devil, first balsa blade i ever had. small head size too.

OP, a good question. I own four Halmark Carbon Extreme which are indeed smaller than the rest but my T11 was "normal" so the Kanter as well(great blade} I don't remember what was the size of my X5....

The t-11 or t-11+ is supposedly 155x157mm.

I have two Dr Neubauer Firewall+ paddles. Their heads are much bigger than my other blades like the TBS and TB ALC.

Tibhar balsa 25 is a defensive blade with a large head.

My bad, just checked my t11 this morning with the others. T11 is standard. I guess this solves my issue on making my custom blade bigger. I thought it would change much if it became wider and longer. I guess I'll proceed
