Why hurricane 3 are less tacky?

Greetings,
I recently got two hurricane 3 neo provincial one black with blue sponge 40 degrees and one red 37 degrees.
I noticed that the surface is not as tacky as it used to be I read something about it here in the forum but I don't remember.
Can anyone tell me why the hurricane are not as tacky as they used to be?

Because the English of the folks at DHS has improved in recent years to notice the subtle yet significant difference between sticky and tacky...

I never got to use the super "sticky" tacky DHS rubbers. mine have all been the more "matte" finish. still more tacky than my tenergy 05 i used to play with and even the D09C i currently have on my backhand.

I dont think there has ever been any official word from DHS. However, watching WTT events you can see that even the pros do not have shiny black rubbers. So maybe it is the preference of the pros and this trickled down into the rest of their production? that is just my personal speculation though.

I still got some of the old stock and one has to really pull with quite a force to get the clear protector plastic off the rubber.

Regardless of language knowledge, which has stopped counting since google translator, no manufacturer has given a reason or an explanation for the reduced stickiness.

I've asked that same question for awhile now and got nothing. I've since switched to Skyline which is still a little tacky.

My guess is probably the chemical formula/additive to make it sticky was found to be hazardous so they stopped using it.

I can't believe there are people who prefer H3 to be not tacky. There are plenty of rubbers that are not tacky but the whole point of using H3 was because of the tack.

Is there any chinese rubbers that are still tacky like the old days?
I was curious about loki rxton 9 sponge or yinhe jupiter 3 blue sponge.
Has any of you tried these rubbers?
I don't know if this is "tacky enough" for the enthusiasts here, but you can try Codexx EF Pro 54. The SuperSelect (53 and 55) are newer hybrids which are only slightly tacky, where as the 54, and I presume the 52, are older hybrids where they maintained the tackiness of older Chinese rubbers.

All H3 are little tacky now in order to improve the speed.

I switched to TG2 as it was still tacky as hell.

Then TG2 became non tacky since 2024.

Worse part is the newer Prov Hurricanes tend to skid when brushing after just a few weeks. Euro and Jap hybrid seem much better at brushing and more durable.

I heard a conspiracy in China that DHS has made low-quality prov H3 to push more people buy the national version.

Battle 2 Provincial Blue Sponge is still very tacky. A guy in my club uses it and it holds the ball for several seconds

Battle 2 seems to have lost some of its popularity but its still a good rubber

Really? I have used my H3 BS for about 3 months now, 3-4 times a week. It still grips the ball perfectly fine

Whenever I try euro/jap rubbers on someone else‘s blade, the thin angles dont work anymore. Recently I had the opportunity to try out a brand new omega 7 china guang and it gripped nothing like a used H3 BS when brushing.

Because you all sound so keen and because you are all so nice I went into my hobby room, ripped the clear protective cover of a blade and pressed the rubber against a ball for 3 seconds and then lifted it up and counted
::::::Result " 18 seconds to ball drop."
:::::::The rubber "Loki Rxton 3 PRO"

😂
