A reminder to the people who think using pips is some kind of voodoo - when you get to practice against them regularly, your advantages tend to show up - they rely upon your instincts being slower/wrong against their balls to do maximum damage.

That guy you gave up on is the current Chinese national champion and U19 world champion, just saying…
I gave up on him after that awful loss against Ricardo Walther in China Smash, but when he won Junior WC i started to believe again. Still think WRB has more ceiling tho

Putting my bet on ZYL to win this!
2 choppers in a row will test her fitness.
then the speed of Miu or Shi afterwards... difficult to say hey.
ZYL is slower now and younger players could out pace her.
too many strong players to overcome, I don't think ZYL has the fitness to remain her highest level all the way to the finals

Kanak will learn but he threw away a great draw.
yep, Oceania players like heming has always been gifted with geo advantages.
If ITTF/WTT changes the weight of the continental points to that of geo ranking standards, the draw will be more balanced.

Hope someone can become a true William Henzell or better from down under. (back then Henzell would bring top pros to deciders and even beat some of them)

Luu did have some wins against 50-100 players, but not against 20~30.
It seems to be that Luu today is already a higher level than heming, so hopefully Luu continues to improve.

Giving up on a player, especially a junior player, after one loss is foolish. Especially when you realize that Walther is a former German champ who has always flown under the radar but has a solid level, in 2019 beating Falck (who was 2nd in World Champs that year) and Franziska (who beat FZD, XX, LJK, LGY in one of the best years of his career)

I don't think 2 choppers will be a problem for ZYL. She beat Linda 3-0 and won't have to play SHW until tomorrow. But I think there' s no way she gets past the winner of Hirano/SXY. Hirano/SXY is a revenge match for SXY, but Hirano has been playing exceptional in T-League. Hopefully, she can translate her momentum into a WTT match win.

Ask anyone who has played against two choppers will know the tolls it has on your body. 1 nights rest isnt even enough

Some interesting rematches lined up for tomorrow. In WD, a rematch of the Asian Championship WD where Odo/Yokoi beat Miwa/Kihara 3-2,11-0. SXY vs. Hirano rematch of 2024 WTT Contender Taiyuan where Hirano comes back from down 0-2. Kuai Man vs. Odo rematch of 2024 WTT Contender Muscat where KM won 3-0.

Hayata looks back in form beating Yokoi rather easily 3-0.

Might be my imagination but she seemed more patient out there, moving around more intentionally and less frenetically. Her FH was especially impressive, finding unreachable angles that Yokoi had zero chance at.
