Hello. I've been playing with the JOOLA ZQH Hyper Ary-C for the past couple of months, and although I love its composition and don't want to change from it, I just haven't been able to get used to its thin-ish handle. I've tried grip tape but wasn't a fan of that. So, I currently have 2 alternatives:

It's been said that the Fan Zhendong SALC has a thicker handle. I've picked up a regular FZD ALC and its handle is indeed more comfortable, but the difference in size isn't what I'd like it to be. Does the SALC have a bigger handle or is it just thought to be bigger because the blade itself is slightly thicker?

Another alternative would be the Xiom Cho Daeseong TMX Pro - it's not SALC, but it's at least harder and faster than a regular Viscaria or Viscaria clone. It also seems to have a thick handle. I'd totally prefer an actual Viscaria SALC/JOOLA ZQH 90 clone, but this could be acceptable. What does everyone think?

Btw Tibhar Hybrid MK Carbon also doesn’t have a thick handle, so don’t look for that. I think out of all the Viscaria type blades that I’ve tried Yinhe Pro 01 has the thickest handle but that’s nowhere near as fast as your current blade. It’s only at around 1390-1400HZ

Out of the standard Viscaria clones the one I'd go for is the JOOLA Freeze HRD, which I've actually owned before the ZQH. Great thick handle and a bit stiffer than Pro 01

Yes, I’ve held that before and that one felt pleasant in the hand. I’ve heard it’s very close to Viscaria’s playing characteristics.
I prefer it to the Viscaria, a little faster and the handle doesn't seem to be hollow like the Vis's. Was my playing racket for about 1.5 years

I think the ZQ90 has one of the fattest FL handles among blades. Maybe Primorac Carbon or Stiga Legend FL handles are are thicker.
Chinese brands FL handles are not bad either, Yinhe, Sanwei etc.
Even the fatter Butterfly handles are thinner than ZQ90, like ZJ ALC, or LGY ALC, Vis...

Is it just me or do you guys get different thickness of handles for the exact same blades as well?
I've always wondered about that. I normally let the merchant check as well if the handle is thick enough.

They are never identical. When you hold the handle it's not the same among the same type of blades. And you know the thickness is a number but how the handle curves etc etc, it's different between blades.

It's baffling a bit since I would think CNC machines mill these so they should be pretty identical.

That has to be the case. I'm hearing wildly conflicting opinions way too often about handles. The fattest handle I had for a viscaria clone was the Freeze HRD's, and there's someone here saying it's thin. ZQH for me is one of the thinnest I've seen, there's someone saying it's one of the fattest. Crazy
