  1. Light BH rubber

Butterfly rubbers. Lighter rubbers, lighter wallet.
  2. Anders Lind discussing illegal serves

Not at all. But the most common way of serving would be forbidden, that's correct. TT would benefit from this on all levels. But for the professionals, who never really have any problems receiving serves it wouldn't be such a big thing. For the rest of us the game would be even more fun, more...
  3. Anders Lind discussing illegal serves

Great video. Apart from what he said we must keep in mind that 99,9% of all games are not pro games. So it is even harder to follow the rules where you only have one (or no!) umpire and the umpire most of the time has no formal training. Change the rules to "the whole body of the server must...
  4. T19 or D64/80 as a BH?

Aren't all Tenergies faster than all Dignics-rubbers unless you hit really hard? On the BH side I suspect a lot of people also have easier to open up the game with a T19 than Dignics. Bouncier short-game though.
  5. Reached EJ Enlightenment

The point of EJ-ing is fun though. There is a perception of getting better at table tennis but ultimatly it comes down to having fun trying new stuff!
  6. Dignics 80 and Tenergy 05 alternatives

This. Even if the playing characteristics are similar of a certain rubber the over all feel and timing on a significantly heavier setup will be different and take time to get used to.
  7. How were pendulum serves returned, before the backhand Flip was more established?

It is only a problem if it is hard to read whether it is sidespin-underspin or sidespin-topspin. And if it is topspin it is very hard to "push with quality".
  8. Why it is hard for umpires to call hidden serves

But only like 0.3% of all table tennis matches have more than one umpire. It is impossible for a single umpire to see the ball when the most common way of serving in table tennis is done with the back against the umpire. Also, I do not think that we really want a sort of "whining culture"...
  9. Why it is hard for umpires to call hidden serves

The rules should be changed. Either allow it or do something like "the whole body needs to be behind the ball during the serve"
  10. DHS Goldarc 9 is now available

The Hurricane 9 (green I think) has the 80-sponge with non tacky topsheet and seems to get really shitty reviews... The 8-80 is a very good rubber.
  11. Picked up my paddle after 12 years… and now there’s dignics!?

Good choice. Cheaper and Foxbox will get the feel of relatively modern rubber, Quality-wise the same as Butterflies. Regarding the Rozenas and Glayzers... I'll go against the others here and state that Glayzer is fine. Nothing special but a standard middle of the road modern, hard rubber. Same...
  12. NEW Gold Arc 9

DHS 80 sponge with ESN topsheet?
  13. Using D05 for a week, it too fast and hard to control... how to use it ?

I've always (or at least since its introduction...) that Dignics 05 was considered a safer and easier to use rubber than for instance T05? I'm sure I've read threads and reviews praising its play out of position, its ease of use in the short game although a bit slower than previous generation of...
  14. Got a racket from Anders Lind

You might be right. Chemicals was just an assumption. My bad. But their sponges normally dies within 2-3 months. The rubbers mentioned in the first post behaves as expected and (probably)not due to extra treatment.
  15. Got a racket from Anders Lind

2-3 months is normal ESN factory boosting. And more than one layer of glue is either shitty glue or superstition! ;)
