  1. Lessons I Learned in Shanghai about Boosting and Equipment in General

Is Rozena popular in China? What made you choose it over other spring sponge or esn offerings?
  2. Your favourite scissors ?

Hi, I usually use scissors when cutting the rubber, but mine is not sharp enough anymore. Which one is your favourite that you can recommend? BTW, I dont have problems when I cut ESN rubbers, but when I cut boosted H3N, it sometimes comes off slightly at the edges during cutting which I am a...
  3. Lessons I Learned in Shanghai about Boosting and Equipment in General

Great report and quality post. Thank you for that. As a H3N user, I will consider your insights for the next time I will boost !
  4. Im losing faith in the sport

if you really feel like there arent any other options left and you have checked with medical professionals but had no luck, you could try reading about TMS. always worth a shot and you got nothing to lose. start with „the mindbody prescription“
  5. Was it a mistake? Should Franziska have been picked for the Olympics?

I have been upset for a while now that Franz was not nominated. And now that he has beaten Ma Long, Ovtcharov, Dang Qiu and FZD within the last 1-2 months, I am starting to become furious about the decision. It just does not make any sense other than politics. Clearly the nominating process was...
  6. Omega 7 Asia Fh on 5 ply all wood allround blade

Similar for sure, I guess there is always some reduction in spin in the main hitting area of the rubber, but thats the case for every rubber. I think I played for o7a for roughly 70 hours now? Still good to play, I will probably play it for another month. The topsheet is very durable imo...
  7. Omega 7 Asia Fh on 5 ply all wood allround blade

omega 7 asia is good on bh. I have about 1500 TTR (dunno how that translates to USATT) and can use it no problem. actually I have been using o7a for about 2 months now on bh, playing 4x a week. the topsheet is soft so lifting backspin is actually really easy, maybe flicking can be tougher but...
  8. Omega 7 Asia Fh on 5 ply all wood allround blade

Just buy it, Omega 7 Asia is a great rubber. I am using it as well currently. It is good in all departments, blocking, flicking, looping underspin, counter attack and so on. There are many other similar rubbers by other brands, but it wont make a difference, mostly it comes down to your technique.
  9. Nittaku Genextion is out

Can't wait for the price of the real nextgen rubber to finally reach 3-digits
  10. Xiom new collection (2024)

Exactly, his old cornilleau blade also had no carbon. That‘s why I was surprised when Xiom said that they have officially discontinued the HAL and SAL. I am still doubtful this is true, since Hugo still used the HAL during the lasts events. Regarding Hugo TMX, I am interested in the blade but...
  11. Old and new Hurricane 3 experience

You are confusing it with nittaku h3 turbo. nittaku h3n 8701 is similar to the provincial version and in fact about 3g lighter Nitakku h3n can lift the ball for about half a second when brand new
  12. Old and new Hurricane 3 experience

I just glued a Nittaku Hurricane 3 Neo (8701). The topsheet is only slightly sticky but has very good quality, same as provincial. Better quality than commercial version for sure. The Nittaku version also has the glossy topsheet you are looking for. However, it did not react to the booster all...
  13. FS: LYJ SZLC / Garaydia ALC / Ovtcharov ALC / KM ALC / FZD ALC & ZLC / Harimoto IF SZLC & ALC / Other Blades / New Dignics

I bought a used Butterfly blade from @Catenaccio. The blade was in excellent condition and arrived within a week. Also, he replies really fast and is super friendly. Thank you!
  14. Old and new Hurricane 3 experience

I glued a new h3n prov orange sponge about 2 months ago. In comparison to the commercial, it has the glossy topsheet you are looking for, much better quality. However, only slight tack as well
  15. Harder version of Omega 7 Pro?

Okay, for sure just get a sheet of Omega 7 Asia. Harder with a soft topsheet, similar to MX-S but faster, very spinny (need more brushing in comparison to O7P where the ball sinks in), and quite durable. Also IMO good short game and great for blocking I use it on BH no problem
  16. World Cup 2024

Amazing rallys, creative shots and those commentators dont even say a single word, sometimes I am not even sure if they are still at their desk.
  17. Xiom new collection (2024)

I thought so too, so I asked Xiom Europe specifically, they told me both the HAL and SAL are being discontinued. No idea why because the blade seemed to sell well. And, Hugo still seems to use the blade during the World Cup in Macao. To answer your question, the blade is really worth it. Great...
  18. Xiom new collection (2024)

It seems like both the Hugo HAL and the Hugo SAL are both being discontinued (according to XIOM), even though the HAL still appears in the catalogue. It‘s really too bad, because that‘s my favourite blade. What confuses me more is the lack of options (for me personally), most premium blades...
  19. Harder version of Omega 7 Pro?

Depends what you mean with similar. Within the same series, there is omega 7 Asia, which I use on BH. Great rubber imo but plays different to Omega 7 Pro.
