Item details

The new STIGA Cybershape Carbon is a completely new type of blade with a unique shape and larger hitting area according to STIGA. Cybershape is a completely new blade design that you will have never seen any player use before. STIGA's studies have shown majority of players hitting area lies at the top half of the blade. That's why the Cybershape has been designed in this way to increase the contact area by 11%. This is the carbon version that is a 7 ply inner carbon blade meaning there are 2 layers of outer wood followed by the carbon layer.

Good Blade
Pros
  • Good Speed and Spin (If used right)
Cons
  • Center of Balance was off
  • Very head heavy
I have been using the Stiga Cybershape Carbon for a little while now pairing it with a slow and medium speed level with the National Hurricane 3 Neo on forehand and Tenergy 80 on the backhand. The hardness of the Cybershape help boost the speed of the Hurricane by a bit and is holding pretty well. The only draw back I found was how heavy the head was and the CWT did its job and helped a lot.

Stiga Cybershape CC Carbon
I am actually someone who is accustomed to ALC composite structure, so not really a fan of a stiff carbon blade. Although I have used a few stiff carbon blades like Donic OCS and Schlager Carbon, nothing feels like this cybershape one.
Im aware that the previous blades i used were 5 layers and hinoki outer, which made them very direct and stiff yet fast - this blade is no exception. For a pure carbon composite blade, this blade is more than decent for looping. But that is not the greatest aspect of this blade. This blade is especially manufactured for those who play counter attack and smashes from mid distance. Do not expect a woody feel like other inner composite blades - this blade feels more direct and bouncy than of those.
So if you are looking for a true carbon blade that can give you an exceptional blocking skill - yet still gives you room to play spinny loops, then this will do.
But then if you are a beginner or an intermediate level player who still need to improve on your technique and feel, then this is not for you.

I find this blade really stiff for me. I can't produce massive spin in my strokes. But I have discovered to try spindrive most of the ball, even the backspin.with brushing,.it's just coming in so fast that sometimes my opponent cant see the ball if it was in cause it seems it just slides on the table. But most of my opponent said that it's just speed. Not loaded with spin.
