Patrick Franziska not using signature Blade

Just noticed in WTT Champions Chongching that Patrick Franziska isn't using his Signature Innerforce ZLC.
I wonder if there is a new one coming.

By the looks of it, it is Viscaria or Super ALC, interesting change.

As a fan, this is a welcome change if he gets a new ALC based Blade.

Viscaria Super ALC handle is BLACK COLOUR, not GREY COLOUR handle as appear in the above photo.

Yeah maybe he just wanted a little change due to recent struggles. He didn't seem to feel uncomfortable with this blade, making me wonder if it is actually a different composition

my friend saw franziska play in the bundesliga about a month ago

he made pictures and noted the same (franz using viscaria handle)

to make it even more interesting, franz was switching between viscaria and PF zlc handle inbetween the doubles and singles matches

You probably lie. I saw his matches and he used his personal blade for 2 matches...
Maybe IT is only handle ?

I think the pro's EJ a lot. More than we think. After all, they are looking for that 2% edge here and there. I don't blame them.

And if you have a losing streak and Butterfly is supplying you with unlimited blades and rubbers, why not go back to the pile and find another blade you like and see if you can turn things around.

In this generalized form I would disagree. Some might, others would rather not.

Trying something different when things go wrong is another story, but you´d have to be really disappointed with yourself, maybe on a rare occasion with a bad batch of rubbers provided to you.

With some manufacturers, you can have two dozen competition blades plus two dozen readymades named after you and never use a single one of those. ;-)
