yeah...nah. he uses hidden/half hidden serves routinely as a core part of his strategy, especially when its tight at 9-9,10-8 etc. never seen another pro do that.

he got caught* 1 time
alright. so his opponent is an idiot for not using TTR then. Idiots don't deserve to win

Using ttr is not easy you have to use it without receiving the service. If the service is fast it's tough to see and decide fast enough if its a fault
maybe they can change the rule to allow TTR anytime after the point is played out.
I never liked the "stop play immediately" rule. Why should it matter?

Look how many times Matsushima has faulted already.
pretty silly comparison, thats toss angle not hidden service. if youve played table tennis seriously at all, you know that hidden serves are magnitudes worse because theyre practically impossible to receive.

with angled tosses, you can still judge the spin on it, its just increased because of the non vertical toss. with hidden serves you cant make out the spin at all

I didn't make the rules. They faulted Matsushima because he violated (shamelessly in your words) the serve rule.

you seem to have trouble understanding, lets break it down

yes, both are violations. but 1 is much worse than the other.

its like saying that a jaywalker is equivalent to a rapist because they both broke the law. after all, "i didnt make the laws", right?

No its not the same. The punishment of jaywalking is not the same rape.

If a judge gave a rapist a $50 fine for jaywalking, that would be insane.

But Sora and WCQ both received the same punishment according to the official rules

they should open up for tv umpire giving fault and override the point
this way, players won't test the umpires

agreed, thats an issue with the rules.
rn the punishment for hidden serves are way too light. why else would wang continue to do it? its because he knows very well that the advantage he gains farrrr outweighs the chances of getting penalised

continuing the analogy, itd be like giving both the rapist and the jaywalker the same 50 dollar fine

and to make matters worse, the already pathetic 50 bucks are only taken if he gets caught

95 percent of the time, he isnt

Rules and laws should not be enforced like this.

"If you can't protect yourself you should be beaten... "

Doesn't sound so cool to me.

That's right, and when he's cornered, he always starts serving above the table and moves his body further and further beside away from the table so he can play his serves and reduce the playing field. No referee ever comments on that.

when you loose, should we say you are an idiot for not hiring a coach?
and copy your phase, "idiots don't deserve to win"
