  1. Lightweight allround blade for maximum spin? Hinoki?

Indeed, my son has Novacell All/S, it is 75g, limba outer layer, very good for kids. However, a little too thin for my liking, only 5.4mm. It is very playable though, but I ended up putting my old T05 and D05 on it for my son. He enjoys it a lot.
  2. Changing from the Viscaria to the Long 5x

I tried Innerforce layer ALC today, very good blade.
  3. Need advice

Its really cheap, right? Like $15 or so? I don't think its bad for the price at all.
  4. Need advice

I also heard good things about AK47, but don't know much about it.
  5. Changing from the Viscaria to the Long 5x

I think Long 3 gives you better feedback, but Viscaria is very good too. More control in short game with Viscaria, Long 3 is slightly better away from the table. I will depend on your rubber as well though. H3 may fit very well with DHS. I have 2 viscarias now and selling my Long 3. I'll be...
  6. Need advice

Big Dipper is about 20 Euros. Rasanter R47 you can probably get for around 30 eruos. Mark V is a possibility too, probably around 20-22. I just don't think you can get a good set up for 60. Look into used blade as well.
  7. Need advice

For blades I would look at Gewo, Andro or Yinhe if you are on a budget. Rubbers if you are looking for tacky, I would look at Yinhe Big Dipper 4 or Spin, or maybe Yinhe Apolo 5. If tensor I'd look at Rasanter R47, Xiom Vega Pro, or slightly more expensive Gewo EL Pro series. I think there are...
  8. Changing from the Viscaria to the Long 5x

I switched from Long 3 to Viscaria. Long 3 is faster than Viscaria, and Long 5 is faster than Long 3. Handle on Viscaria is a lot more comfortable for me. Long 3 had amazing feeling when you hit the ball due to outer layer being limba wood vs koto wood on Viscaria. I personally prefer feeling of...
  9. What is the best way to learn serves for kids?

I mean the 2nd one, before we even talk about any sort of competition, we are talking just friendly matches with me, his uncle or his peers. Tomahawk serve is on my list. I think it is a fairly easy one to learn as well initially. Thanks for your suggestions.
  10. What are the best table tennis shoes ?

Neither Futsal nor TT shoes are difficult to find in US. Don't know how it is in Spain, but here in the us just about any sports store has futsal shoes :) I've been using futsal shoes since I've started playing, don't need anything else. However, get good ones, don't get adidas samba or some...
  11. Need help building a new paddle

If you are looking for a slower setup, I don't think Vega Japan is your best choice. If you are looking for a slow setup, I think you need to start with a blade 1st. Once you have a blade, based on its stiffness and flexibility, as well as composition, you are going to start looking for rubbers...
  12. DHS Hurricane 3 NEO replacement

I've tried it, but I've tried it at the same time as I switched blade to Viscaria. I played with for 2 days and took it off, just couldn't play with it after Gewo EL Pro, R47 or even Vega Pro. Maybe a combination of new blade and new rubber, but I couldn't loop with it. I still have this rubber...
  13. DHS Hurricane 3 NEO replacement

Interesting... I didn't find R47 to be that bouncy at all, for me it was very easy in a short game, but it generated a lot of spin and good amount of speed on both Hurricane Long 3 and Viscaria blades that I used at the time. But you are not going to have that dull rubber feeling from it as you...
  14. LF: DHS Hurricane Long 5 (flared handle)

Yes it is. 7 ply blade, no carbon.
  15. DHS Hurricane 3 NEO replacement

I currently have H3 Neo on one of my blades, unboosted, 39'. From your euro list, I have played with Rasanter R47 and both T05 and T05H. The closest feeling I got to Chenese rubbers in the short game and in terms of linearity (if this is even a word) was from R47, which I am thinking of...
