  1. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

Here is my take after frustrating experience with the brand positioning, narrative and execution all together. The signing with Hugo Calderano was a massive win for the brand, but from a strategic standpoint, the execution since the announcement has been underwhelming. Having followed the...
  2. Mizutani ZLC underrated Fantastic blade

I tried it and played with it for several months (D05 x 2), but in the end I didn’t like it because of one obvious characteristic. With the MJZLC there is that point of diminishing returns: the harder I hit, the less it gives me. This is completely opposite to, for example, ALC, which has that...
  3. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

To generate revenue from selling regular off-the-shelf rackets. No top player uses rackets available in retail stores. I mean, does anyone seriously believe that professionals play with the same rackets we ordinary mortals can buy? That’s their livelihood. By the way, it’s the same situation in...

AL signed Non disclosure agrement for sure. Btw, according to my source AL uses butterfly timo boll alc with donic handles. The info came from former top 20 player who is still in the loop

You misspelled it. It is gonna be Joola Hugocalderynyz hahahaha
  6. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

Just watched his match vs Felix. He played so poorly with prototype blade. He was tentative, less power less aggressive much less confidence. Hugo dismantled Felix last time they pleyed. And Hugo was unusually quiet.
  7. Butterfly Zyre 03

Let’s not go back and forth with replies now. The goal isn’t to reach a consensus. We’re here on the forum to exchange opinions and impressions — nothing more, nothing less. I’ll just briefly comment on the price: price has nothing to do with durability. In fact, there is a negative correlation...
  8. Butterfly Zyre 03

For me, the Zyre03 is average at best, and the biggest disappointment in the best-case scenario i.e. if we factor in the price. It isn’t linear, it doesn’t grip the ball anywhere near as well as Dignics, and it has a serious issue with the ball slipping, which is completely unacceptable for a...

  10. Calderano Signs with Joola (#139)

When it comes to choosing players to be sponsored by the company, ranking position is not the decisive factor. This is especially true for Butterfly. They pay close attention to the player’s personality, the story surrounding them, the country they come from, and their marketability. They have...
  11. The Pro's Equipment - Discussion!

He is using Viscaria handles on unknown blade. That blade is definitely not of the shelf Viscaria.
  12. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

Well the weight is exactly the same as my FZD ALC(86g) + D05 2.1... I cannot compare O7 amd O8 since I never played with O7. However, I would recommend a bit harder rubber. O8P feels soft on HAL. 47.5° is not really soft but this combo does feel soft for my taste.
  13. Any blades still in production similar to Xiom Hugo HAL or Butterfly Moonbeam?

Received my HAL and XO8P combo a few days ago. It is unlike anything I tried and I tried A LOT. The weight is 86grams blade and total 183grams (edge tape included) and that is exactly my preference. Very unusual fell and dynamics. One you get used to it, it gets addictive. Never experienced...
