I think i got some vouchers, for the table tennis supplier sponsering the event, for getting to a semi in a 4* consolation - all of £5. I guess if you won the germany or china national champs you would get more than if you won the UK champs - does anyone know how mush they get? just out of interest.

Thank you but I really was not that good. I just got the concept that getting the ball on the table and do not miss serves, which many young players never get, wins matches.

Having not played for 8 years or so and now having to play some 14 year old up-starts with some ability, it is quite handy to stamp and look like heavy chop serve but is really a float. love the look on their faces when the ball goes long.

Zhang Jike and Xu Xin have been running really hot at the moment. Would love Ma Lin to win though.
